Back to twats for a moment. I was once flying on the Trans World Airlines, aka, TWA, and the stewardess asked me if I'd prefer some of her TWA coffee or some of her TWA tea.

When I was a very little girl - about 4 or so - I got into mum's make-up while mum and dad had friends over.

After I considered myself suitably 'done up' I presented myself for inspection by the adults.

They all giggled a bit which offended my sensibilities to the extent that I loudly asked, "What's so funny? Did I commit adultery or something?"

As you can imagine this question led to nothing but more giggles and laughter.

Ibby 11-22-2006 06:33 AM

Psh, I dunno, call me whatever you want. If you MUST, call me Jason. At least I know how thats s'posed to be pronounced, I think.

Both, it takes a while for me to come up with an adequate name until I get to know someone, usually it plays off their name or a trait.

See zip, when I read your posts or type to you, in my head I say "bippityboobah"

Same as mrnoodle is automatically "moodle", LJ is "LumbersaurusJex".

Well, they arent *always* cute to anyone else but me.

My boss is affectionately called "Fuck-knuckle" or "wilewallywanker".
Co-workers are Mick-kal instead of Michael or Mick, The Doo-Ronnie or The Dont Ron (circumstances pending) instead of Ron, Topher rather than Chris...etc etc. Funny though, other people pick up on it and use those names too.

Eh - I know its weird, but it helps pass the time in the mind of me.

wolf 11-23-2006 09:25 AM

Oooh. What's mine?

Ibby 11-23-2006 09:30 AM

HEY! HEY! STOP GETTING OFF TOPIC! THIS THREAD IS ABOUT HOW GREAT I AM!

Is it pronounced (cat) twat or (dot) twat in your part of the world?

For Pete's Ache -- ;) -- twat is pronounced with a broad A as in father.

DanaC 11-23-2006 10:46 AM

Is that .....'farther', 'fayther' or 'faerther'? :P
