This latest pic of my G-son, Sam, arrived just as I opened this thread.
I don't know which river he is fishing here, but he says he camped out over the weekend. He is working as relief Tech at 3 of the ODFW hatcheries around Enterprise (far north-east) Oregon |
Nice.

Lunch.

Brown?

Sam called it a "bull trout"
... and from where he was working today I'm guessing it was on the Grand Rounde River. Just try to find "Flora, OR" in Google map's earth view. |

:D Yeah, he says he gets that a lot.
And then he adds that it often comes from people who are fishing and not catching. . |

Last week my son who lives up in Alaska came south for a visit. It was the first time we got to see our newest grandchild (#15). Augustus was a big baby at birth and at 5 months weighs just over 20 lbs putting him in the 97% range at his last pediatric check up. Good kid, he hardly ever fusses and other then waking up for a feeding or 2 from his mom sleeps through the night.
I shot this on our coffee table in our family room which I converted into a mock studio. |
Gosh, he doesn't look Alaskan. :lol2:

The sun finally came out after what seems like a whole lot of rainy weather. So I took my new Canon 7D MkII to my grandson's track meet and got some decent shots of him doing the Triple Jump. The camera can shoot at up to 10 fps so it's a great camera for action. I mostly used my 70-200mm f2.8 lens.

Nice new toy! The pictures came out really well.

Yes, excellent. Did you take four frames sequentially or chose these from X number of shots?
