George Michael?

bluecuracao 08-15-2006 07:34 PM

No...here are more hints:

The artist was a drag queen and performed at Studio 54.

He's not Ru Paul.

He went by one name, e.g. Madonna, Cher, Yanni.

He died of AIDS in the late '80s.

The name of his song in Trading Places is "Do You Wanna Funk?"

Elspode 08-16-2006 12:21 PM

Good lord...you can't mean Divine?

bluecuracao 08-16-2006 05:35 PM

That's a very interesting guess, but no...Divine did not sing "Do You Wanna Funk" nor did he/she die of AIDS.

Should I just give up the name? It seems like I went way too obscure on this one.

Spexxvet 08-16-2006 05:53 PM

Yes.

bluecuracao 08-16-2006 06:49 PM

Sylvester

Spexxvet 08-16-2006 07:00 PM

Never heard of him. Your turn again.:worried:

bluecuracao 08-16-2006 07:47 PM

Someone will get this one right away, I just know it.

What Washington, DC punk band got its name from a Ramones song?

JayMcGee 08-16-2006 08:36 PM

footfootfoot 08-16-2006 08:39 PM

Isn't it 3 in the morning on your side of the pond?

Spexxvet 08-16-2006 09:16 PM

The Sedateds?
The Rock N Roll High Schoolers?
The Joeys?

JayMcGee 08-16-2006 09:16 PM

it is indeedy, footycubed.

But there's still a drop or two in the rum bottle......

bluecuracao 08-16-2006 09:29 PM

No, no and no. The Joeys sound like they could be an Aussie pre-teen pop band, though.

Have you had Mojitos over there?

My favorite rum drink at the moment.

In High school (and it was) my pals and I created a drink with 151 proof rum

1 part grape juice
1 part apple juice or fresh cider (not fermented)
1 part pinapple juice
2 parts ice
3 parts 151 rum

frappe until smooth.

thrilling, as I recall.
