Okay...this question is stagnating the game. The answer:

M. Frog Labatt and Roger Powell.

Next question is up for grabs!

Ok, which band did the Eagles allude to in their song "Hotel California"?

What guitarist has been credited with "singlehandedly rescuing the [deleted] guitar from obscurity, creating and mastering its modern technique, broadening the scope of its repertoire, legitimizing the guitar as a [deleted] concert instrument, and developing a worldwide audience for its performance and pedagogy where none existed before"?

I deleted adjectives which would make the question too easy.

Esteban? Charo?

John Williams

Andres Segovia?

Captain Beefheart? ("so I called up the Captain...")

I'm conflicted. I was going to take a guess on the Hotel California question, but wasn't certain if I was recalling the entire lyrics, so I looked them up online. This resulted in me accidentally finding the answer to the question, which was in fact what I was going to guess in the first place, but now I'm afraid I'm cheating.

Captain and Tennille?

You forgot Moogy Klingman.

Elspode 08-11-2006 03:20 PM

Damn. I did forget.

This thread has gone dead the past 24 hours, so I'm throwing out my "I didn't cheat, but did discover my suspicion was correct" answer so we can get it moving again.

Steely Dan.

I'll take "named after a dildo" for $1000, Alex.

footfootfoot 08-13-2006 12:28 PM
