On weds, I was matched up against UT. When I checked during the game last night, I was not playing. I moved from 2nd to 1st in my division. I guess I got a bye week as a result. That's good and all, but I think I had a shot of beating Tony with Dallas going up against the lowly Bears.

Undertoad 12-05-2014 12:07 PM

You'll get a shot at me in the championship

Clodfobble 12-05-2014 12:52 PM

So I show a currently developing score, but no opponent. Does that mean I have a Bye week and my points won't matter one way or the other?

IF you can get past Spencer....If you can get past James, and IF I can get past Glatt or Classic, and if all that happens... You (#4 ranked) get a shot at ME(#2)

Yes. You have a bye week. You go to the next round regardless of your score.

Clodfobble 12-06-2014 06:52 AM

Oh lordy it's on...!

classicman 12-06-2014 01:29 PM

WTF is going on? Should I be doing something ... or something different?

lumberjim 12-06-2014 03:57 PM

yes

lumberjim 12-07-2014 08:51 PM

Looks like we won't have the chance to do any further trash talking, sir. You had another dominant regular season. Shame to see you fall so early in the post. Good job. Tough week.

Undertoad 12-07-2014 09:12 PM

It was a dramatically weird week for me, will be my worst week overall... haven't been below 200 since week 4 and suddenly this will be around 150. P Manning turned in 22 points. His normal is 65. WTF. Anyway, thank you sir, good times regardless.

lumberjim 12-07-2014 10:30 PM

It is fun. I don't care what that fag flint says

glatt 12-09-2014 10:29 AM

Congrats to The Forktards. Ryan's good performance wasn't enough to make up for my shitty RBs.

It was a fun season. Thanks all!

lumberjim 12-09-2014 12:51 PM

It's time to stick a Fork in the forktards. The projection currently has us nearly tied. The matchup article says I will win by 11, but currently, they project a loss by 0.40 points.

good guys 237.1 to 237.5 bad guys.

The Shitmen Faces Off With Philly Forktards in Postseason Play

  • Updated: Tuesday December 09, 2014 7:41:20 AM EST

Riding a five-game winning streak, No. 2-seed The Shitmen meets No. 6-seed Philly Forktards in a playoff-bracket matchup this week. It's their second meeting of the season, after The Shitmen beat Philly Forktards, 200.70 to 186.30, in Week 9. Initial projections have this one as somewhat close, with The Shitmen favored to win by 11.20 points.
The Shitmen has the St. Louis Rams DEF (21.50 projected points) and Patrick Peterson (10.30 projected points) playing in the game Thursday night, while all of the starters for Philly Forktards will play later this week. Only one other matchup gets going on Thursday, The Grossly Incandescent vs. Carmen's Hot Wife - Redux.
Philly Forktards has a pronounced advantage at two positions: WR and K. Their biggest margin is at WR, where they're projected to beat The Shitmen 69.80 - 48.10.
CHECK BACK ON THURSDAY FOR A MATCHUP UPDATE

classicman 12-12-2014 09:51 PM

Imma kick your Dallas loving ass. I has secret weapons!

classicman 12-14-2014 03:13 PM

...and my secret weapons fizzled. My goose, it is cooked.
Congrats Jim.

lumberjim 12-15-2014 08:15 AM

wow. by 2.5 points.

nice game. I was watching A Rodgers stink it up...figured I'd lose.... and then Fitzpatrick broke his leg. And then the Cowboys won too!

niiiiice

lumberjim 12-15-2014 09:03 AM

I started to say that I finally made the finals... but when I checked... this is a rematch of our first season. Spencer's Flying Spaghetti Monsters beat me that year. That was before we switched to the 2 game final round format, so this year, I'll get to savor my loss a little longer.

Undertoad 12-15-2014 09:18 AM

Spencer may have more players that are taking it easy at the end of the season. QBs taking a week off and such. Dallas has a reason to play on.

That happened to me last year, or at least, that's my story.

classicman 12-18-2014 06:58 AM

LJ and I were both at the Eagles/Cowboys game - (separately) It was one of the most exciting games I've attended in a long time. Good game. I thought you totally had it won, then I realized it was the last TD to Dez (same exact play as the first... that clinched the win for you. If on the fucking Eagles had maybe covered him ... spilled milk and all that.

OK, I lost and I'm out, right? Why does it appear I have another game to play?

lumberjim 12-18-2014 08:55 AM

I think you play for 3rd place or 4th.

Ute and Glatt play for 5th/6th

remember: this next game takes 2 weeks to play in the meat space season

Oh, it's ON. Imma fight tooth and nail for that number 5 slot. Ute and his lame old quarterback are going DOWN.

Undertoad 12-18-2014 09:22 AM

Hey it's STILL ON. The TE I have drafted, dropped, added, dropped, added, and dropped again? Well he's ADDED.

classicman 12-18-2014 09:06 PM

So you mean I have to pay attention? Al my good players sucked or got hurt.
I got a bunch of shitbags now. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!!!!!!!

The player report on P Manning actually says that Manning "was spotted walking without a limp Thursday."

glatt 12-19-2014 09:29 AM

Think he'll need an IV during the game this week? :p:

I kid because I have him in another league and feel your pain.

glatt 12-22-2014 08:59 AM

I'm ahead by 7 points and expect to pick up around another 7 on top of that tonight.

If Peyton plays, he can easily get 14 points. IF he plays. Conflicting reports there, although he was spotted walking without a limp.

This 5th place game is a nail biter. ;)

Undertoad 12-22-2014 10:28 AM

He'll play one quarter and get knocked out. Could be extremely close.

lumberjim 12-22-2014 11:25 AM

I've got a nice lead on the boy, we'll see if I can hang on to it.

glatt 12-22-2014 11:35 AM

I flipped by the Cowboys game yesterday and it was like 45 to 0 or something like that. I thought of you, LJ. That's a remarkable score.

lumberjim 12-22-2014 02:31 PM

YEAH. It was 42-0 at one point. They had them reeling the whole time. Both teams put their backups in in the 4th quarter, and the 2nd string guys gave up the shut out.

I like a good competitive game like the last one against the Eagles... but I really am much happier watching them execute like they did yesterday. nearly flawless.

Their oft maligned D gave up ONE yard rushing the ENTIRE game.

and Romo went 18/20 with 4 TDs. banner day.

lumberjim 01-02-2015 10:39 AM

Thanks, Glatt.

I was wondering when errbody was gonna notice that the season had ended.

This is my first 1st place finish in over 10 years of playing... and usually 2 leagues each year.

It's mostly luck. Well. There's a certain level of skill...or paying attention to the real league that gets you to a point... and then things like A.Luck putting up 2.6 points in the final game can dash all your hopes and hard work. Sorry, Spence.

That's why I won't play for money. You might as well buy a scratch off lottery ticket.

I had a good time, as usual. hope you all did too!

glatt 01-02-2015 10:46 AM

There is a lot of luck, but I was poking around the fantasy site, looking for some big announcement of the winner, and saw that the top two teams had done by far the most player swaps. So the more you pay attention and actively work on your teams, the more likely you are to win.

Wish I could find that page now. It was kind of neat seeing a clear correlation between number of moves, and success.

classicman 01-02-2015 02:11 PM

Congrats Jim. Thanks for putting this all together & helping me out.

** Hope this is the only championship for your team - Go Detroit! lol
