Well, I hope you are happy. Rogers was injured in the first half

Glory Be

infinite monkey 11-05-2013 12:12 PM

That was closer than I would have liked. Good game Amanda!

Undertoad 11-08-2013 11:38 AM

Well the Goats have taken a lead with their Defensive Player racking up 11 assists and managing over twenty points. Guru now has them expected to win by one point.

At this point, it would take a tragic first-quarter ligament sprain to Reggie Bush for me to expect a victory...

glatt 11-08-2013 12:28 PM

My instincts tell me to play him next week because he just had a decent game, but I bet he flops in the other direction again. It's like trying to time the stock market, and selling when it crashes, and buying when it's performing well.

In the continuing saga of should glatt play Griffin, I benched him and he got 57 points.

Guru has lots of ideas... I'd be very surprised to score 200 points.

Undertoad 11-08-2013 05:05 PM

It doesn't have to be a sprain. A strain would do.

Tonya, is that you?

lumberjim 11-08-2013 10:59 PM

Tony admitted to me privately that he used a voodoo doll to take Aaron Rogers out last Sunday. He also confessed to using over $1300 in tip mug funds to purchase a piece of his hair from George Wendt.

And, although that paragraph is a complete fabrication, it's an example of just how far he is willing to go in order to assure his complete and utter domination this year. More lies in that sentence. The point of which are to create a villainous light and shine it upon him. I'm hoping that you'll skim this post and miss the small parts where I declaim my own accusations. So, with that in mind, I will tell you a couple more lies in the following paragraph. Hoping that you'll skip the long one in the middle. Even if you do read the whole post, maybe the shadow of the allegations will tarnish his sterling reputation.

He also tried to bribe me with access to all of the private messages sent by all of you kind folks. I, of course, declined. And not just because I already have access to that boring stack of hooey. Well, it's mostly boring. The stuff going back and forth between sundae and sarge is ...um.... well... I'm sure you can imagine.

Griff 11-09-2013 07:04 AM

That mutha fudgin bastage better not touch a hair on my boyz head!

Not that he ever would since he is actually pretty even tempered and fair-minded.

I can't believe that son of a snitch pulled that. I'm calling shenanigans if my players start falling.

lumberjim 11-10-2013 12:43 PM

I signed Seneca Wallace to replace the injured Rogers.

So, either Tony did it to me again this week out of spite, or karma did it because I told lies about him. ...or, as unlikely as this sounds, what we do or say has fuck all to do with what transpires on the field in Green Bay. I know. Ridiculous, but possible.

either way, Wallace just got hurt after one drive. Don't know if he will return. ... The sissy. RUB SOME DIRT ON IT AND GET YOUR ASS BACK IN THERE!!

Undertoad 11-10-2013 12:48 PM

Also, I secretly got WHIP's advice this season.

Griff 11-10-2013 05:50 PM

Whip must have explained how the refs were going to close the gap at the end of the Steelers game.

Griff 11-10-2013 07:07 PM

According to Game Center we're going to do the fantasy version of John Wayne punching his way through Inisfree.

Undertoad 11-11-2013 09:57 AM

Drew Brees punching his way solo. Good lord.

And by the way, nobody should win the NFC East this year. It should be a global BYE for the whole division.

Griff 11-11-2013 04:46 PM

Drew Brees kicked my ever lovin ass.

infinite monkey 11-17-2013 10:35 AM

Apparently the Falcons aren't going to say whether Gonzalez will play today or not until like right before kickoff. Grrrr...

I got a Brownie in his place, but Gonzalez is usually good for way more points.

Can't sit by the computer, I guess I'll try to keep an eye on my phone. Or I should just leave it alone and see what happens. Maybe it will come up on my NFL alerts. Argh.

Good luck jim!

infinite monkey 11-17-2013 10:46 AM

They must have read my complaint. He's playing. His projected points are ~30, so I'll put him in. I may regret this...

lumberjim 11-17-2013 11:59 AM

I'm so fooked this week. No Romo, no Rodgers. No win.

I'd wish you luck, shaw, but you don't need it. Enjoy the games!

infinite monkey 11-18-2013 08:44 AM

It sure wasn't a blowout.

I had to laugh seeing that Carson Palmer netted me 76 points (I just picked him up because no one knew if Ponder would even play)...the Bengals fans in my family scoffed at Palmer being in my second quarterback position. Without all those points you would have beaten me...most of my players didn't live up to my expectations.

Good game!

lumberjim 11-18-2013 10:05 AM

or if Geno Friggin Smith hadn't gotten NEGATIVE 6.7 points. jerkwagon

good game... better than I thought it'd be.

lumberjim 11-18-2013 10:08 AM

what's surprising is that it looks like Amanda will beat the Farting Toads.

barking. sorry.

infinite monkey 11-18-2013 10:26 AM

And Ruff Riders beat the Goats? Will this week's games blow asunder the current standings?

Griff 11-18-2013 04:09 PM

Goats are sliding...

Undertoad 11-18-2013 04:20 PM

Amanda had a great day and outscored not just me, but all of us!

lumberjim 11-18-2013 05:05 PM

And Celek got points removed for not actually scoring on that long one he caught.

Clodfobble 11-18-2013 05:59 PM

More than half of BigV's team is injured, and he only put up 26 freaking points against me this week... and yet somehow I'm only one place ahead of him in the league. What is this sorcery?!

lumberjim 11-18-2013 06:40 PM

You could still make the playoffs. I put you in the right division. You guys are like the NFC East.

lumberjim 11-18-2013 06:43 PM

Wow. Theres only 2 more weeks of regular season. You need to beat blue and zippy and you should get in, clod.

lumberjim 11-25-2013 06:45 AM

Glatt, I think you got me this week. My guys did poorly. Except the wide outs on my bench of course. I need Rogers back

glatt 11-25-2013 07:30 AM

It's looking that way. Although it isn't over until it's over.

Hey, at least your cowboys won. Smart how they ran off the clock before kicking that field goal. Makes up for not touching the Giants receiver when he was down, so he got up and ran in for the TD. oops.

lumberjim 11-25-2013 08:37 AM

yah, that was embarrassing

infinite monkey 11-25-2013 12:05 PM

I thought the goats were gonna get my, er, goat. Good Game Goats.

Embarrassing? Nothing, NOTHING was more embarrassing than the Browns' performance against the Steelers. If only Hoyer had remained unhurt. Damn ACL. :(

Griff 11-25-2013 08:26 PM

I thought the Browns had a shot as long as Campbell was in. When he went down so did the Browns. Goats are a troubled franchise at the moment...

lumberjim 11-25-2013 10:15 PM

Wow. 6 minutes left. ... and I'm only down by 8 points! If V Davis can catch a TD..... nah. .. that's crazy

Undertoad 12-01-2013 09:03 PM

Good game going on between the Ruff Rats and the Riverz Riders!

glatt 12-02-2013 07:36 AM

I thought I might make it, but the Redskins, who started out so strong, finished with a whimper against the Giants. I thought Morris would put me over the top, but he ultimately failed to deliver.

Good job, Rats!

Clodfobble 12-02-2013 06:07 PM

Gah! If I hadn't benched Brandon Weeden, I would have won. Sooo many points left on my bench this week, dammit. I have one QB left to play tonight, so it's still technically possible I could eke this one out past Troop. But what are the chances that all three of my QB's earn over 60 points in the same week? I'm betting no.

lumberjim 12-02-2013 08:14 PM

It could happen. Wilson hasn't scored 75 all year, but it could happen. If it turns into a shootout. .. and with the Saints, it just might.

lumberjim 12-02-2013 09:10 PM

If it keeps on at the current pace, you probably will win. Just have to watch Jimmy Graham on the Saints. This game will decide your division title. You would both have a six and seven record, but I think you would win the tiebreaker Clodfobble.

lumberjim 12-02-2013 10:56 PM

Well, he scored 69. Looked awesome doing it, too.

It was almost enough,... but Mr Graham put 13 points up.

The Sea hawks were amped. They pulled the Saints' shirts up over their heads and pummeled them gleefully for 60 minutes.

impressive

lumberjim 12-02-2013 10:58 PM

They did to the Saints what the saint's did to the Cowboys a couple of weeks ago.

Watching the post game show, the nfl guys (young, dilfer, Ray Lewis) are all excited. They can't use enough analogies, yelling over the ends of each others'sentences, gesticulating, etc. They REALLY enjoyed the game.

This was, quite likely, a preview of the NFC championship game. If it is, the Saints better have home field somehow. ... cuz the 12th man in Seattle is v. Formidable.

lumberjim 12-04-2013 12:30 AM

Playoffs start this week!

Griff 12-04-2013 05:22 AM

Without the terrible Goats. :sniff: Next year...

lumberjim 12-04-2013 05:29 AM

you're just on a bye week, bud.

You're the 2nd tallest midget in the circus, as it were.

There are 2 brackets now. Championship and Consolation. The best 2 teams from each have a bye this week. So, Tony and Shaw have no game this week, and You and PZone (Carmen).

As I recall, the losers play each other too, so don't quit on it if you lose your first playoff round. And remember that the final game is divided into NFL weeks 16 & 17.

I have to beat Amanda this week in order to get a rematch with UT. Aaron Fucking Rogers better do a collar bone double check and get his candy ass back on the field.

Griff 12-04-2013 05:38 AM

Ha! love that line.

glatt 12-04-2013 08:12 AM

I'm ready, I think. It's going to be a close one with Troop. Could go either way.

Biggest decision, as always, is looking into the old crystal ball and trying to figure out if Griffin is going to have one of his 10 point games or a 50 point game. Fucker is so inconsistent. But last week was a 50 pointer, and he usually follows those up with a 10 pointer, so I'm benching him.

bluecuracao 12-04-2013 06:23 PM

Hello, all...I apologize for abandoning Eagle Green this entire season. Things have been extremely weird in my life lately, and my brain just refused to deal with anything football-related (amongst other things).

A bizarre kind of preservation mode? Probably.

Anyway, I tried to fix my team up a little, in the hopes that I'll have a decent showing for the final week at least. Show me what you got, Geno Smith!

lumberjim 12-09-2013 10:58 PM

Playoff results. Round one.

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/12/10/tyjabu6e.jpg

If you lost, hang in. ... theres a loser-off to play next week

glatt 12-16-2013 08:54 AM

Wow. Several of my players did very poorly yesterday.

You're looking good, Shawnee. I doubt Flacco will save me tonight. He's decent, but I need him to be spectacular. You've got this one in the bag.

Undertoad 12-16-2013 11:00 AM

Yeah uh oh well. Pass along my congrats to Amanda

lumberjim 12-16-2013 11:15 AM

Yeah. That Birch beat me too

glatt 12-16-2013 11:16 AM

Wait a second, was I playing Infi for a slot in the championship game?

Come on Flacco, have the game of your lifetime tonight!

If I lose, am I playing UT next week for the third place slot?

lumberjim 12-16-2013 12:40 PM

EDIT:

yes, if you lose you'll play UT for 3rd...loser is 4th, I play zippy for 5th place loser gets 6th

the consolation bracket works the same way

lumberjim 12-16-2013 12:46 PM

and REMEMBER!

the next TWO WEEKS of real football will get merged into the FF final game! so don't give up if you lose week 16!

Clodfobble 12-16-2013 02:39 PM

Damn. I'm beating the Goats right now, but only by 13 points. All my players are done for the week, and he's still got three to play tonight. Whew! This fight for 8th and 9th place in the league is gonna be a nailbiter! :)

glatt 12-16-2013 03:24 PM

I can't get my head around the fact that I still have a (long) shot at #1, and am guaranteed at least 4th. My team has been very mediocre this whole season, and I don't think I ever ranked higher than 6th in the league.

Your shot is so long you can't even see how long it is with any long shot devising devices! ;) Good Luck! It would be hilarious if Flacco got enough points, but as I always say: It's football...most anything can happen.

I think it's gonna be Chick Bowl, though. Me and Amanda in the finals. You have to like that! :)
