Today excursion for Ratso and Gnomey.

Since I use Camaret-Sur-Mer as a place to guess in the "Where is this?" thread, they asked to visit.

Chapel and tower from the port, another view from the jetty, inside of the chapel (tower was closed). Models hanging from the ceiling are ex-votos made and offered by sailors.

Brest isn't a very beautiful city as, like Le Havre or Lorient, it was utterly destroyed during WWII.

Today excursion for Ratso and Gnomey.

Still in Camaret-Sur-Mer, but another place. Some menhirs for a change. As far as I know, Brittany has the highest concentration of megaliths in the world, especially around the Morbihan Gulf.

And they made friends with Liam, my nephew.

Sundae 03-25-2012 02:42 PM

Hello Liam!

BigV 03-25-2012 03:07 PM

What a long strange trip it's been...

I like this leg, GunMaster357, keep up the good work.

zippyt 03-25-2012 03:41 PM

What Up Liam !!!
Net scenery !!
Good Job GM !!!

plthijinx 03-31-2012 04:18 PM

where's he off to now? down under or seattle? or?????

GunMaster357 04-01-2012 08:03 AM

Preparing for his last excursion in Brittany. Then Gnomey and Ratso will be on their way to whoever will be happy to have them.

Or was Ratso accompanying Gnomey just for this leg of the trip?

wolf 04-01-2012 09:51 AM

Are they using the new google feature for trip planning?

limey 04-01-2012 12:30 PM

Gnomey arrived at my place with a clockwork skellington who decided he liked Scotland, so Ratso (who is Russian, by the way) set off to keep Gnomey company ... I think it's up to you, Ratso, and Gnomey who travels onwards.

Sundae 04-01-2012 12:59 PM

Gnomey arrived at my place with Skelly-Bob, so I passed him on to Limey with a clockwise skellington so he didn't get lonely.

As Limes say, it's up to you whether he travels accompanied or solo.

plthijinx 04-04-2012 08:19 PM

the more the merrier!

plthijinx 05-14-2012 09:23 PM

He's here taking a break with Ratso. They made a few visits here and there around my place.

I'll post new picts in a few days.

Lola Bunny 05-16-2012 11:06 AM

Wow, that's one long stay in France. How about we let him along his way and see more....Europe sites? Or Australia sites? :p:

plthijinx 05-16-2012 07:30 PM

yeah, i agree with lola get him on the road. unless no one speaks up, i'm gonna get an aussie address for him then it's a tour there and back to the states.

plthijinx 05-16-2012 08:10 PM

GM, i helped you out a little, hope you're ok with it. you should be getting an aussie address here in a little while

plthijinx 09-06-2012 06:35 PM

infinite monkey 09-06-2012 06:39 PM

Aliantha 09-06-2012 06:42 PM

ZenGum 09-07-2012 08:09 PM

We might have to ransom him from Somali pirates.

limey 09-08-2012 04:32 PM

How much d'you think they'll want?

plthijinx 09-08-2012 07:42 PM

i've got some pocket change....a heineken....um, what else? ah, a fishing rod that needs a new tip, oh wait, i fixed that.....oh! i have a yellow highlighter! think that will do??

Sundae 09-09-2012 07:45 AM

I have a Price Match voucher from Sainsbury's for 54p.
But I admit I was going to use that against the price of half a dozen eggs, as I used three making challah today.

Still, Gnomie comes first.
After all, all my parents did was create me, bring me up and are now letting me live with them. Gnomie's a bona fide Dwellar.

Trilby 09-09-2012 08:00 AM

MORE challah braggery!

sheesh!

Sundae 09-09-2012 08:02 AM

Wait til I shoe-horn it into Clod's nose-apocalypse thread..
Yummy!

Trilby 09-09-2012 08:08 AM

Razzmatazz13 09-09-2012 11:44 AM

Hahahahahahaha. Oh my. Hahahahahaha.

Lovely.

Sundae 09-12-2012 03:50 PM

You're not allowed to laugh in this thread.
You never posted your pics of Gnomie.

DanaC 09-12-2012 03:53 PM

Sorry. When I locate them and can make myself edit and upload, I'll post them.

plthijinx 11-04-2012 12:32 AM

gone he is. thanks.

Lola Bunny 11-04-2012 06:23 PM

He's probably at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. :(

Don't get too excited. I haven't found Gnomie. He just... exited.

Skelly Bob - Come to Otley with us!
Poe - I have to stay to look for my raven.
Skelly Bob - Ah, c'mon. Might cheer you up.
Poe - Shush.

Skelly Bob appears courtesy of ZippyT.
Poe appears courtesy of Claudette Coulter RIP.

infinite monkey 05-01-2014 12:57 PM

Too funny!

zippyt 05-01-2014 05:15 PM

I see Skelly bob is doing well , hanging with a shady character ;)

Skelly Bob says "Hi!" from the bus back from Leeds. He had such a good time seeing Dana and showing Sundae how to whoop it up in the big city that he forgot to take any photos til he was on the bus home!
Attachment 47759
The photo took an even more tortuous route via mobile phone signal to Scotland where an old friend of Gnomey's posted it to teh Cellar.

zippyt 05-27-2014 05:05 PM

Ha !! I see skelly bob is haveing fun !!

Sundae 05-28-2014 09:26 AM

Thanks Limes.
I have a feeling that when I eventually get online (tomorrow, PLEASE FSM) and upload some of the many many photos I've taken... Skelly Bob will have more adventures on here.
I'm not posting (mailing) him anywhere though!

Who do we call about Gnomie?
NATO, the American Coastguard, Interpol, Dove of the Yard?

infinite monkey 05-28-2014 09:52 PM

I think we have to call the French Foreign Legion. Gunmaster division.

Guess who wanted to go watch England play?
Skelly Bob talked me into it as I have no tv at home.
And he heard the pub would be dead for the first half, which is right up his alley.

Please excuse my book vandalism here.
I have had it a while now (rereading the whole series).
I wouldn't normally flaunt it, but Bob needed a platform.

Lola Bunny 06-19-2014 06:21 PM

Would've been cool if the gnome actually made it around the world.

Mum went back to her B&B to sleep off her big roast beef dinner.
Skelly Bob and I stayed to finish my enormous Diet Coke (and have a wee)
because said enormous Diet Coke meant an afternoon kip was unlikely.

Saying that, I did come back to my flat and have a leisurely cuddle with Diz, who had no such compunction about sleeping in the afternoon.

And yes, they are Sundaes in the photo.
