S'ok Sundae...I felt pretty uncomfortable sitting by myself in the college snack bar, the only one dressed up for the show, sticking out like an old bag, to see that band that came in town. It was a little surreal. It was such a small show that I was singled out by even the band I came to see. One of the band members made fun of my jacket. Another one smiled at me approvingly. But I stuck out like a pig at a banquet. I still enjoyed hearing the show!!! I didn't know it was going to be at a college fucking snack bar. Weird.

Sundae 11-02-2008 12:09 PM

About 30% of people were dressed up, so I didn't feel out of place - I really enjoyed it.

Sorry to hear you were on your own though. Buncha miseries.

My kid's costume was the same as last year. Bought at Disneyworld, and after 2 years I feel like we got our money's worth.

She and dad went as Beauty and the Beast. :D

Juniper 11-02-2008 11:56 PM

Isn't this a great mask?

Why do werewolves always wear red plaid?

But of course, it's hard wearing and hide the stains!

A pic (not mine) from my night out - this was the lovely red-headed lady who gave me a dvd prize.
M Dyson is behind her.

It's amazing how much that looks like our kitchen.

lumberjim 11-03-2008 11:24 PM

is that a fur skirt?

did viking men wear kilts!?

you guys looked great, though. srsly.

ZenGum 11-04-2008 12:25 AM

My, what a big horn you have...

Yes, but I'm not comfortable with where you're holding that axe!

LabRat 11-04-2008 08:41 AM

The viking costumes are awesome!!

Shawnee123 11-04-2008 08:46 AM

Your little princess and her daddy are awesome, too! How sweet!

Cicero 11-04-2008 09:00 AM

lol! You guys look great! You do look a little out of place in that kitchen! I hardly doubt there was meade and mutton in the fridge, poor viking couple. :(

kerosene 11-04-2008 09:39 AM

Yes, my man looks hot in a skirt. You should have seen the year we dressed as each other. He makes a better me than I do.

the party was great. No mead, but we did have some lovely bacon wrapped thingies and amazing artichoke dip.

HungLikeJesus 11-04-2008 08:57 PM

We still have a refrigerator full of the bacon wrapped things, and 8 pounds of ham, and turkey, and a huge cooler full of beer, and 25 bottles of wine, and 5 bottles of tequila, and Honey Wild Turkey, bourbon, rum, vodka, ... and a cake that no one ate.

LabRat 11-05-2008 08:53 AM

Well, that's what you get for not inviting the rest of the cellar.

:blunt:

DanaC 11-05-2008 12:24 PM

Oh wow. Oh how cute are they? lol

Awesome pics guys. Oh and btw, case, you and mac are a ridulously bonny couple :P

Shawnee123 11-05-2008 12:50 PM

What cute kids! I love the expression on Pooklet's face, and the bee costume on Flintlet looks downright snuggly.

Sundae 11-05-2008 01:27 PM

Both home-made (admirable) and bought (cute overload) all the kids and adults on here are so cool. Oh that includes me  ah well if the cap fits...

I've been allowed to keep the dress. It's not amazingly good quality but it'll do for a good few occasions. Now I just have to find those occasions! At the very least I'll find another do next Halloween, I now up my ambition to not having to do it alone!

We hid the cake when we heard the Vikings were coming.

I was a little disappointed. You didn't do much pillaging.

kerosene 11-05-2008 05:05 PM

I would have, had I known about the cake. You were wise to hide it.

I did manage to pillage a bunch of that artichoke dip.

Sundae 11-05-2008 09:00 PM

Check google earth, Case. If you see a new and unexplained soil disturbance somewhere in Scandanavia, that's one of your Viking ancestors turning in their grave.

Artichoke dip, honestly.

Cicero 11-05-2008 09:07 PM

Pooka, that is so damned cute. Oh jesus. I'm just going to shake my head at how cute that is. Too...cute.

skysidhe 11-06-2008 10:19 AM

The kids are all so cute and the vikings are awesome.

It was either a great party with an abundance or yes he forgot to invite the cellar.

I could use some honey turkey and some bourbon right about now. Yes I know it's in the morning but I work nights and I AM hungry.

HungLikeJesus 11-06-2008 10:29 AM

What? You mean you didn't get your invitations? I'll have to ask my wife what addresses she sent them to.
