i dig.

anyway, i was hoping ducksnuts would get the message that she is really cute (and i don't mean it as a come-on. i've already got mine...)

DucksNuts 04-30-2006 12:09 AM

Message received, thank you :)

I can take a compliment without thinking you are trying to get into my pants....I'm cool like that :p

twentycentshift 04-30-2006 12:12 AM

do not worry duck. its really really not like that. i don't hit on chicas since the wedding. just a straight up compliment.

:)

DucksNuts 04-30-2006 12:16 AM

ohh, we are going round in circles, I knew you didnt mean anything by it...honestly.

I was just messing round...and cheekyness doesnt always look right in black and white. I need to take some lessons from Chey :)

You should know that Aussie humour by now.

twentycentshift 04-30-2006 12:21 AM

i was just thinking that. aussies can be very.....well, cheeky and joking. and we americans can wear our feelings on our sleeves, as the saying goes.

no sweat, duck.

that totally reminds me of how my wife and i used to communicate, before we grew to know each other very well. two ways of seeing one thing.

what time is it there?

DucksNuts 04-30-2006 12:29 AM

Its 3.30pm on Sunday, its raining and I am recovering from Bootcamp...so doing nothing.

I have several friends in the US and even though I have been speaking with them for 5 or 6 years, they still have trouble with the cheekyness.

You are right about the different ways of looking at things.

twentycentshift 04-30-2006 12:36 AM

boot camp? that does NOT sound like fun..........

my wife tends to be more sarcastic than me. its been something we've had to work on. is that typically aussie?

rkzenrage 04-30-2006 12:37 AM

I agree Century, DuckNut's is lovely.
DN, your hair looks a lot like my wife's when we got married. Very nostalgic for me. It has been short for a while now, but she is growing it out again... don't know for how long. I posted the wedding pics in here recently... trying to remember where....
Edit~
Found it.

DucksNuts 04-30-2006 12:58 AM

Sarcasm is definitely typical Australian behavior.

RK - your wife is very lovely, she looks gorgeous on your wedding day.

twentycentshift 04-30-2006 01:04 AM

she gets that way, and i've had to step it up. now i am as good as her. she says my sarcasm has a sting to it, though. aussies are more subtle with it, i think.

Been a long time and she still is. I am far luckier than I deserve. Thank you for your kind words.

DucksNuts 04-30-2006 01:16 AM

Rk - Florida is always somewhere that I have wanted to visit, but shit your weather scars the bejesus outta me!!

Oh you must come visit California. No hurricanes where I live. When you hit Los Angeles, hang a left and go straight North. I am the one living on the slope of the Volcano. ;)

rkzenrage 04-30-2006 12:22 PM

Earthquakes have no warning or season... yeah, they are so much better.

The weather is nothing to worry about. You get plenty of warning for bad weather, we just have a lot of jaded idiots who ignore warnings & choose not to get out of the way.

WabUfvot5 04-30-2006 04:15 PM

Earthquakes are way better than blizzards. Then again I don't mine tornadoes or T-Storms either so keep that in mind ;)

Elspode 04-30-2006 05:02 PM

1. Earthquakes don't melt.
2. Ask someone who's had their trailer blown away if they mind tornadoes. :)

Rock Steady 04-30-2006 05:13 PM

Also, major Earthquakes are rare. Tornadoes and Hurricanes happen every year.

Happy Beltane from Mrs. Elspode and myself! Pic taken right before our open Sabbat ritual at the park this afternoon.

Trilby 04-30-2006 05:30 PM

And a Happy Beltane to you and yours, Patrick.

elSicomoro 04-30-2006 05:32 PM

Mrs. Ep looks happy...you look like you'd rather be someplace else.

Elspode 04-30-2006 05:42 PM

I'm wearing antlers, man...how much happier can a guy get?

People tell me I don't smile much. I don't, unless it is completely spontaneous. I never could give a convincing "on-purpose" smile for some reason. Always reminds me of cheerleaders for some reason.

Elspode 04-30-2006 05:44 PM

Right back atcha, Bri.

BTW, Syc...Festival is over Memorial Day weekend, from Thursday to Monday. Go here for complete info...

I'm just a big scardy cat when it comes to Mother Nature....but I sooo dig her!!

Not many places to party around this eensie beensie town. But summer is coming and that means the street dances, buddists, alien worshipers, crystal toters and hippies will be out and about.

We could hit a bar or two and hear some tunes. My idea of fun would be outdoor play during the day. :)

DucksNuts 04-30-2006 07:24 PM

Err, will I be scared by the type of outdoor play during the day??

I dont scare that easy.

Sounds like a fun crowd, will definitely put it on my list.

Kagen4o4 04-30-2006 07:26 PM

I would wear anything for you sweetie, if I were single. So for now, I'm off the hook.

Elspode 05-01-2006 03:02 PM

Tell a man that he gets to be The God on Beltane, he'll wear antlers...or horns. Either way, its good.

Trilby 05-01-2006 04:04 PM

I like me some horn'ed god.

i keep taking pics of myself with the cellphone and deleting them. they all show various stages of sagging wrinkly eyes and sour expression. Not much sleep lately for some reason. So I'm just going to post the first one I take....right.....now. Look, you can even see this screen on it.

Kagen4o4 05-01-2006 05:36 PM

hehe, nice one noodle

Trilby 05-01-2006 05:46 PM

noodle, you are a very cute guy. Now, feel better about it! Like Stuart Smalley says, "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough and doggone it! People like me!" :)

Griff 05-01-2006 06:15 PM

I'm disappointed with the tidy desk noodleman. I never suspected.

Elspode 05-13-2006 12:47 AM

Stormie, is that a choker necklace in the last pic, or did you have Mehndi done on your neck?

Oh...I have to agree with zip, here...sizzlin', girl.

Stormieweather 05-13-2006 12:03 PM

One of my hobbies is making jewelry. I do Indian loom beading, weaving, freestyle and some work with metals. The choker is made of loosely woven plastic so that it can stretch and still resume its shape. Fun piece, perfect for a weekend at the beach :D .
