Sure, it's a fun minute, but then you've got no grenades.

Gravdigr 11-26-2010 02:16 PM

Oh, you got to save up!

TheMercenary 11-27-2010 12:29 PM

Reload. Everyone does it.

xoxoxoBruce 11-27-2010 11:33 PM

And there's plenty of time when you've obliterated everything in the area.

Gravdigr 12-03-2010 12:44 AM

Hey, anybody got thirty grand burning a hole in ya pocket?

TheMercenary 01-19-2011 08:51 PM

I would love one of these.

Gravdigr 01-20-2011 01:59 AM

I find it cool that in the world of ammo, we have the .50 Beowulf and the 6.5 Grendel.

Where the hell would you go to shoot that?

I'd like to see what that little dog's reaction is when they fire off a round from that thing.

Gravdigr 01-22-2011 10:39 AM

Awesomeness.

Griff 01-22-2011 10:44 AM

My Dad made a primitive version of that. He put his Jonsereds to a very large ash which split up the middle and smacked the saw many feet away leaving him thinking about mortality.

Do Not Invade Oklahoma...

Gravdigr 02-16-2011 03:28 PM

Very cool, Merc! But, uh, invade Oklahoma? For what? Is GA getting low on snakes?

Gravdigr 03-30-2011 02:20 PM

Oh, aim that glorious motherfucker at Michigan. Right around Ann Arbor.

zippyt 03-30-2011 07:12 PM

no

glatt 03-30-2011 09:01 PM

Yeah. I'm with Zippy on this. It's one thing to argue with other dwellars, but I don't like to see vague references to weapons being used against them. Don't do that any more.

TheMercenary 03-30-2011 09:45 PM

He never said which side he would aim it at....

Gravdigr 03-31-2011 03:27 PM

Did you see the weapon? Did ya watch the video? It's a fucking slingshot. That shoots machetes!!!!! Do you really want to take that literally??? When that fucker can shoot FIVE HUNDRED FUCKING MILES, then it might be issue. Of the vitriolic shit I have spewed, THIS is what worries you. I won't tell you about the rocket I'm building in my backyard, then. Or the straw double-loaded w/spitwads that's pointing at the back of your head right now!!!

I've been waiting for one of these ( a warning in PM) for a while now, since I'm going against The Queen and all. But, the slingshot...That's rich.

Gravdigr 03-31-2011 03:32 PM

What if I wish for bad weather?

Gravdigr 03-31-2011 03:32 PM

Yes.

I don't like the vitriolic shit, I find it pretty irritating, and it's not winning you any friends, but it's not intolerably irritating to me yet. However, your comment calling for the use of a deadly weapon against another dwellar is not OK. You're pushing and pushing, and this is where you went too far for me.

Gravdigr 03-31-2011 04:02 PM

How will you ever get to sleep?

Deadly weapon?! :lol2: It barely penetrates a quarter-inch of CARDBOARD. FROM LESS THAN TEN FEET. And the projectile travels at, Ima guess, somewhere around twelve feet per second?

If Hitler had had machete-shooting slingshots, we'd be posting in German, I suppose.

I say again, :lol2:

Gravdigr 03-31-2011 04:34 PM

High-tension cable support towers (2): check
Bungee cord (six thousand feet): check
Concrete (500 cubic yards): check
Machete (25 feet long): check
Bread tie (1):

Dammitt!!!! I gotta go to the store.

M249 SAW Airsoft Machine Gun: $399.95

ZenGum 04-02-2011 06:38 PM

Somehow "airsoft" and "machine gun" seem wrong together.

But heck, 400 bucks? I would have thought they were much more than that. You crazy merkins.

ETA. Hey, follow the link and it all makes much more sense!

I couldn't agree more.

The kids will probably never get, but I wonder how long it will take for the parents to realize that guns are NOT TOYS.

The Archer's Falchion, from Windlass. The falchion was a short, single-edged sword. Heavy, but single-handed.

When archers had their defensive positions overrun, they needed a simple weapon for close combat. The falchion can deliver damaging blows with little skill or training involved. My interest in the falchion began recently when my character in Dungeons and Dragons acquired one. Coincidentally, my character is an stealthy, bow-hunting woodsman who tries to avoid melee combat. The falchion appears to be exactly what a combatant of this type would actually use, if necessary.

Beest 04-19-2011 09:50 PM

I understand those CIWS' are such maintenance hogs they are almost impossible to keep working and impractical.

Mini crossbow, very cool, did anyone see the linked mini Browning \

They are made by Tippmann, who are a big paintball gun manufacturer, I guess everyone needs another hobby :)
