Interesting, there the cases black or white? As in the outside of the lens

Tough Pi :P

White barrels, Jag.
And now back to our regularly scheduled thread.

Hi, Pi.
I went to the local park with my wife and kids, and BIL and his GF.

After having a picnic there, we came back home, set up a wading pool in our back yard, and watched the slow, stupid cicadas fly into various things.

*blinks* Whoa...I've never seen any that expensive, but I do know of some that are the same cost as a...used car (slightly used perhaps)

The following is just an example...

Yea it'd be the bigass end of the Canon range then =)
Something like this I assume:
Not even the big stuff =) Goes for around the 8k mark, for a 600mm like this

I don't think they've introduced an IS version of the bigger end yet, when they do that'll another two or so grand I'm sure. Canon does some bigger lenses than the ones that are listed there ladysyc but I've never even seen the on a pricelist.

http://www.usa.canon.com/eflenses/li...oto/index.html
lists a 1.2m

Oh yes a Beardie. A beautiful chocolate/faun/blue Tricolor bearded collie with brown/faun the dominant colours:P(for any non beardie afficionados tricolors are quite rare inthe breed) Of course once he got past his puppyhood his colours faded to just a hint. ......I think I already mentioned in the thread abot not being cool that I have taught him to give high five.....I dont know on a scale of 1 to 10 how sad that actually is, but I am pitching a guess at 8......He has a wide range of understood words in his repertoire but most seem to be related to various kinds of cooked meat...chicken, sausages etc

.....okay....I am going to stop now because if I dont then I'll just gather momentum and that'll be that I'll wax lyrical about my dog for next half hour.

I grew up with beardies. Tri-colours are rare indeed! You lucky devil!

I'll see if I can get my bro to scan in a pic of him. Theyre a funny breed. Superintelligent but highly strung. He is my first ( though my mum had one before) I always had westies in the past. Totally different kettle of dogs.

This is England we'll eat anything as long as it's deep fried in lard
and/or covered in curry

One of our doctors just got a monster lens of frightening cost. I'll get details from him ASAP to further assist in the thread hijacking. He's looking forward to going to the Lakota Wolf Preserve in New Jersey (yes, there is such a thing) to use it.

He has this plan to utilize his dog as a means of carrying the lens during hiking excursions by putting it in a well-padded pack. The dog is usually placid enough that it shouldn't damage the lens by running willy nilly anywhere. That was the plan, anyway. He put the pack on the dog, it considered the situation quite carefully, and and laid down. It would not get up until the pack was removed.

He'll just have to strap the lens to his wife.
