I reached a minor milestone of 50 posts recently. Now I've reached another milesone of having one of my posts repeated. I'm really making progress here at The Cellar. Thanks dar512, you rock, hon. :D

From Sun_Sparkz:

Yikes, I was going to say that my daughter has a healthy self-image so I'm not worried about the influence of barbie. Now having read that, I think barbie should be banned from my daughters life... Also, I'll have to start asking women if they had barbie's as a kid on the first date.

Actually... I think my daughter has barbie's at her moms house. She doesn't have any here. Though she knows she can bring toys over if she wishes. When she's with me she splits her time between educational games on the computer, creek jumping (when it's not to cold), watching TV with the rest of us and beating the hell out of me with the sparring gloves I gave her late last year. :boxers: No time for barbie.

Barbie also failed to stunt my development ...

It's a toy. I knew it was a toy. So did my sister.

How you raise your kids along with their own personality traits defines their adolecent/adult lives.

My Barbies hung out with the folks down at the Johnny West Corral and had some really cool adventures in the Barbie Camper.

Heee! I didn't have Barbie until I was a pre-teen, but my girl-friends did, and they had everything! The 'Vette, the Beachhouse, etc. We actually felt grown up playing with Barbie and her friends because..well, hell they were adults! No one was telling us how "evil" she was and so forth. We just had...fun. ;)
