Daddy?

Yeah, her Daddy. NOT her :apimp:

Elspode 04-09-2005 02:15 PM

Sorry...I am making a poor joke. Something along the lines of "if this girl *had* a daddy, she wouldn't *be* out dressed like that."

Unless he's her pimp. :(

Senior Prom circa 1981 -

and to think, I thought MY prom dress was daring because of the bare shoulders....

My son is a junior this year and my daughter will be a junior next year - My guess is that they'll both go the more traditional prom attire route.

C'mon guys - break out the old yearbooks let see what YOU did on your prom.

By the way, the boy in the pic was just a friend who hung in my group of friends - he was kind enough to take me to the prom after my boyfriend dumped me the week before. The boy (Matt) took me despite the fact that a few weeks prior, I had run his car into a telephone pole while he was teaching me to drive (it was a banner month!)

I did not attend my prom. My friends and my anti-prom was to go to the local drive in movie. I believe I spent around $10, and didn't puke.

My God. I thought it was a big wedding. They have so wonderful dress.

xoxoxoBruce 04-11-2005 11:18 PM

That comes shortly after the prom for the ones that aren't married already. :)

I went to my junior prom in my date's auntie's pink dress that didn't fit. He wore a brown courderoy suit. I think I still have the pic somewhere...I'll post it if I find it...

I went with a good friend who was actually dating my best friend at the time. The guy I was dating was older and not interested in that kind of crap, but hosted a killer after-party that lasted thru the weekend. I had a great time, spent most of it hanging out with Jim...

Let's see: he hangs out with you(r group), teaches you how to drive, is cool when you wreck his car and doesn't ask anyone to the prom till he finds out you're bf moved on and you thought he was just a friend? We need to have a loooooooooooooooong chat, Miss Jacquelita, a loooooooooooooong chat.

Not that it matters now, of course. :)

Oh, and nice dress, btw.

(THANKS!)

No he really was just a friend - he graduated the year before and had no intent on going to the prom. He had a thing for my friend, and I think was trying to win her approval by showing me kindness during a bad patch.

The guy who dumped me in such a timely fashion just before the prom would eventually became my husband and then my ex (some lessons it seems must be learned the hard, painful way)

No regrets though. With lessons learned and priorities in order, my path has led me now to a man whose kindness gives my soul room to breathe.

A man who looks at me (me - a 41-year-old mother of grown children!) like this...

xoxoxoBruce 04-14-2005 08:49 PM

Lecherously?

Troubleshooter 04-14-2005 09:01 PM

He's just looking down your dress.
