Currently watching Dawn of The Dead (remake) on Syfy.

Any good? I loved the original, but I've been a bit hesitant about the remake.

Rubbish. IMHO.

Clodfobble 10-10-2013 08:13 AM

Here's how stupid I am. I just now this moment realized that Simon Pegg's "Shawn of the Dead" was a play on "Dawn of the Dead."

Yes, I am that stupid.

Ha!

Many movie titles are pretty much meaningless, so you are used to only using them as a set of words for referring to a specific movie. At least that's how I treat them. The worst were the string of movies about 20 years ago that were "[adjective] [noun]" like "Primal Fear" and "Last Seduction" but the name had almost nothing to do with the movie content.

We watched Kick Ass last night. Earlier, yesterday, I watched the last hour of Pineapple Express for the 4th time. both edited for TV, but in Kick Ass, 'Balls deep in your ass' got past the censors somehow. it was quite clear.

I always mix up "Fatal Attraction" and "Basic Instinct."

glatt 10-10-2013 11:47 AM

Exactly! What does Basic Instinct even refer to in that movie? That's the Sharon Stone murder mystery one. The only instinct I can remember from it is Michael Douglas humping every woman he sees.

Happy Monkey 10-10-2013 11:51 AM

The cops' reactions when Sharon Stone crossed her legs.

I saw the uncensored version Bluray. I thought it was pretty cool, but at the same time, seeing an 11 year old girl doing all 'at killing wuz a bit concerning.
