Pet halloween costumes. There's another thing on the minus list. If dogs weren't so pliant or didn't exist, I bet no-one would have come up with costumes for pets. You look at a cat or guinnea pig or snake and even if the thought of a costume popped in for a second, it'd pop right back out again pronto. Screaming and looking for a place to hide.

Wow! I wonder what drug they have those cats on to make them sit still for those costumes? I put a collar on Sylvester a while back, and he went insane trying to get it off. Finally, he resorted to hiding under the bed and mournfully meowing for hours. He won that round. :thepain:

But would anybody have even thought of cat costumes had they not tried dogs first?

SamIam 09-25-2011 08:26 PM

I'm sure the costumes began with the dogs who are so much more eager to please than cats are. Had they begun with cats, the results would have been so depressing that the costume for your pet thing would never have got off the ground (or the cat). I once got a cat to wear a Christmas bow for an entire half hour. That's my life time record to date for dressing up cats.

Gotta find that reference...

Dogs made hunting easier.

Cats made agriculture viable.

Judge for yourself which was more important in human history.

;)

infinite monkey 09-27-2011 07:28 AM

Cats should be seen and not herd.

SamIam 09-27-2011 08:48 AM

:rotflol: I about spit my coffee all over the screen! Good one, IM! No doubt a herd of prime mousers like that will bring top price when they finally get to market about 10 years from now.
