Sundae 02-13-2008 10:44 AM

I am treating myself to a Valentine dinner.

I am having steak with onions and mushrooms, a jacket potato with a little bit of low fat creme fraiche and a herb and rocket side salad. For dessert I am having a Weight Watchers mini lemon cheesecake.

I have a "linen feel" paper tablecloth and will bring my rose fairy lights down from the bedroom to further decorate the table. I will of course be bringing many candles down too.

Oh and after I finish I am going upstairs for a long bath in a Lush scented bath - bought a bath bomb specially for the occasion.

I hate Valentines Day, but just because I am unhappily single. So this year I am celebrating it rather than moaning, moaning, moaning like in previous years!

I thought it was the 14th, or is this a ploy by you to make everyone late and get in trouble? lol

It's usually the 14th, but this year is leap year, remember? Blimey!

...Mind you, I only realised it was leap year when my kids got a swim meet scheduled on the 29th.

It's valentines day here already. Dazza and I had a 'discussion' last night and then this morning he presented me with an item of jewelery. The first thing I said to him was, "Why are you giving me this after I was such a bitch last night?"

I'm a pretty lucky woman.

HungLikeJesus 02-14-2008 12:21 AM

That's why I never buy my wife jewelry.

Aliantha 02-14-2008 12:22 AM

Because she's a bitch to you every night?

HungLikeJesus 02-14-2008 12:32 AM

No. Because she never is.

Aliantha 02-14-2008 12:38 AM

Lucky you. ;) But why does that mean you don't buy her jewelery?

HungLikeJesus 02-14-2008 12:41 AM

You said that your husband gave you jewelry after you were, ah, unpleasant. So: unpleasant = gets jewelry. Never unpleasant = never gets jewelry.

Aliantha 02-14-2008 12:46 AM

Well he'd already bought the present, so he didn't get it just because I was a cow. Anyway, it was supposed to be a joke just as it was between us this morning. ;)

I recieved one of my favorite perfumes from him.
I gave long stem red carnations to him.
I gave pink carnations to my mom.
