Oh no ... someone please stop them. That's one of my favoritest movies.

Terrorists need to blow up Hollywood. If they could also destroy all of the prints of the Will Smith remake of The Omega Man I would appreciate it.

I can honestly say, I haven't watched that one. I will do so and then if I like it better - I'll say so.;)

Has anyone seen the new Halloween? I liked House of 1000 Corpses.

And why are they releasing it now?

Spouse & Son - saw it Friday Night - said it was great. Not alot of gore, but focused on the "growing up" aspect of "Michael".

I saw Hairspray this weekend and liked it better than I expected. I have not seen the original.

Did someone mention "King Kong" from the 70s

Saw 310 to Yuma Sat. Night - loved it.

Didn't realize it was a remake - I'm terribly out of the loop on some of those.

Yeah...I saw it during the Saturday matinee....it was awesome!!! I liked the old spaghetti western music. It was just fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone who likes anything.

*side note* Russel Crowe looked pretty hot in that jacket and those pants. I'm trying to talk my husband into getting that outfit. I'm not even a Russel Crowe fan but I might be converted.
:D

Hey Jester- I met a guy this morning that worked on the set- (it was made here mostly) and he said that no one wanted to meet Russel Crowe given the opportunity because he actually is kind of a bad ass ill-tempered man....they term talking with him as- to "tussle with Russel" in the movie industry. The guy I talked to helped bulid the town, the wagon, and worked on the hotel that was featured a lot. He thought it was going to be another bad western so he hasn't even seen it yet. I advised him to do so. The set they built is still there....was thinking of sneaking in....

Nosferatu (1979)
Opinions are divided, but I thought it was dire

3:10 to Yuma was a remake of film with Glen Ford. 1957. Written by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elmore_Leonard
I never missed a western while a kid. Hell that's 50 flappin years ago.

Cicero 09-17-2007 06:15 PM

Now that's what I was talkin' 'bout!
:)

Since it's the holidays -

A Christmas Carol - my favorite is the one with Alastair Sim

If you've never noticed - watch when he "wakes up" on Christmas morning and is looking in the mirror - you can see "stage" people in the background.

Most remakes don't hold shine like the originals. And, why can't the movie industry be more creative instead of dredging up old stuff?

Clodfobble 11-30-2007 02:22 PM

Because statistically speaking, people won't pay to go to see creative movies.
