...Or you'll get covered in Cheese Whiz. And maybe enclosed in a bun.

Of course we get them, but not on hoagies.

Where are you from originally?

dar512 08-14-2007 11:30 AM

Yeah, you Philly guys are all, "We've got the cheesesteak. We're cool. Drool and die, outsiders". :blunt:

But Chicago's got the Italian beef, baby! Juicy goodness on a roll! :jig:

freshnesschronic 08-14-2007 01:00 PM

Yeah gyros!

wolf 08-14-2007 01:02 PM

You pronounce it wrong, don't you?

Happy Monkey 08-14-2007 01:37 PM

Doesn't everyone?

They suck.

We've STILL got the cheesesteak. We're cool. Drool and die, outsiders.
And add a nanny-nanny-boo-boo:p :yum: :jig:

Nuh-uh! Italian beef is way cooler than cheesesteak. And they're spicier. Spicy is just cool. Everybody knows it. :boxers:

South Jersey, but I don't think they do the seeded rolls, either. I haven't come across them over there--only in Philly.

If you do have a hoagie place near you that has Amoroso's or Sarcone's sesame seed rolls, you really should try one at least once. They are incredible.

There was a place called "Breads of Italy" across from where Jinx used to work. They had seeded Semolina rolls. It would shred your soft pallete, ......with crunchy goodness.

Urbane Guerrilla 08-14-2007 11:15 PM

Sperry makes gyros. Greeks make gyros.

If Salvador Dali painted The Persistence Of Memory with a soft palette, I wish I'd been around to watch. :D

freshnesschronic 08-15-2007 12:53 AM

Gyros.

Year-rows. Yeah actually I'd probably prefer the cheese steak because the gyro is just way too greasy, those Greeks.
