When have you and I had bouts? Why bring it up now and classify me as a "character"? Whatever, I'm not taking sides with you, Flint, or anyone on this board. I'm going to be exactly the same here as I was on AG for 4 years.

well... seems your short term memory is worse than mine...
or better depending upon how you wish to look at it...

your "words on a screen" motto details the use of characters... does it not... :robot:

SteveBsjb 03-29-2006 05:16 PM

Honestly, since I don't remember ever debating with you. Really, that's how unaffected I am by message-board debates. I may have disagreed with you, or responded to an insult or attack, but I'm never the aggressor.

that's just bullshit... instigating is a form of aggression...

I'm thinking you suffer from selective memory...

SteveBsjb 03-29-2006 05:33 PM

Oh well, it's indirect aggression then.

I don't consider it selective memory. Remind me about our top three 'bouts then. I'll remember them when you list them, I'm sure. But I absolutely could not do the same. But go ahead, if you jog my memory then I guess I will reminded that I needn't be considerate when posting to you?

:biggrinha
negative content doesn't stay with me for that long...
so... my mind draws a blank to the when and whats...
should know that much about me by now...

SteveBsjb 03-29-2006 05:50 PM

Exactly my point.

A) I forget all the negative stuff, such as it is. It's only a message board.
B) The same goes for people's quirks and such.

So, let's just start over. That's really what I do everytime I turn on the computer anyway.

I did like the AG debates that would go on forever, the jokes, the "farewell" threads, and even the trolls. I'll miss the "left eye" joke. But on to greener pastures.

No, you just attacked all of us. Here's a little selection of your witticisms over the last 22 hours or so:

I was at www.audiogalaxy.com the general discussion board.

But if if comes back up I'll go back.

***

I won't ever adjust to these posted pics and smileys. Though that's how my original message board was.

***

Wow! Glad you acknowledged CBOL, though I don't think you know what it means.

***

Some want to be helpie-helperton, but I guess that can't be avoided. Others wear corderoy pants and smoke pipes.

***

I love message board politics. Obviously I've rankled some here. Shot in the arm, so to speak. Oh well, I've done worse.

***

You may be stuck with "El" as far as I'm concerned. But, hey... here's my first smiley just for you ------>

***

I wonder if they like being called by their screen names or prefer their "real" names. I prefer screen-names, in case you're wondering.
You claim to be 37 but you come across as a wise-ass 17 year old, sitting in the back of the class and sniggering with his buddies.

What's your REAL name? Cuz I wanna call you by your REAL name, "Steve" (if that's who you are), just to annoy you.

So, STEVE, are you implying that paybacks are a bitch? If so, meet the BITCH, herself! I eat punks like you for breakfast.

Cellar - main street - high noon.

Hugs and kisses,

Cowgirl

SteveBsjb 03-29-2006 08:21 PM

You eat punks for breakfast? (ala Billy Madison)

where did I imply that there was payback? or payback necessary?

Plus, I agree, those are witticisms, but not attacks.

saying I'll call someone El is an attack?

Saying that someone doesn't know what I meant when I posted CBOL is an attack?

None of those are attacks. No payback, I'm not starting a war with the board, as much as you want me to. But I'll respond to any posts written to me, without attacking.

SteveBsjb 03-29-2006 08:23 PM

Thanks for scouring all my posts for those quotes though. It was unnecessary though, I am attacking no one. I just post differently than you. I'm sure there's room for me here.

Mari comes from an old military family. Once in a while we have to play taps to settle her down. ;)

Why? If it is clear that it irritates the majority of people, why would you continue to do it? You're not going to get banned for being serious, posting current events, your opinions, jokes, or sarcasm -- those are the basic elements of this community. Yet, it is possible that the method that you do it will do nothing but frustrate the users here.

So, I'm a bit confused. Are you just refusing to make a simple adaptive change that all the other members here have been able to make with ease, or are you here to play passive-aggressive games?

Either way, I'm sorry you have yet to find another board that replicates your AG experience of four years. Still, while change is often difficult, you might get more out of it if you went a little more with the flow rather than fought it.

I taught freshman comp at the biggest party school in Colorado for 7 years. Your "who me?" act needs work:

Rude, smart ass reply, thinly disguised put down:

Quote:

Patrick told you his name was "Patrick." His user name is Elspode. You may be stuck with "BS" as far as I'm concerned.

Condescending, implied the person you were replying to doesn't have your same vast knowledge:

Quote:

Wow! Glad you acknowledged CBOL, though I don't think you know what it means
Wow! You replied to my post, although I don't think that you know how to read.

All of those were snide, passive/aggressive comments. No, you're not starting a war, you're starting a campaign to bring "democracy" AG style to a foreign country. First you'll soften up any resistance with carpet posting.

Sweetheart, I've stood on the first day of class in front of too many sullen 18 year olds who would much rather have been on the ski slopes at Purgie or down at the Old Tymer drinking bock ale to not recognize the modus operandi at work here. Your wounded innocent act won't fly with me.

I have nothing against newbies. I've been one before, and I'm going to be one again in a whole new town in another month. But I DO have something against someone who posts sly innuendos and feigns innocence over what they're doing.

If you're going to insult people, at least be a man about it. I suggest you go back and study some of Lumberjim's posts to learn the fine art of the direct confrontation.

Cowboy up!
