I found a Trader Joes in Rochester Mn. 60 miles away, next week I will get some.

I picked up my cheese today. They had held it for me overnight, so I had to go to the little pulpit and ask for it. The guy at that desk raved about it. Then the cashier said it was 'legit'. I can't wait to try it. I grabbed it on my way to work, and left it in the car.... I'll have to go get it when I get hungry.

Damn, all that anticipation will be tough to satisfy with mere cheese But Limey wouldn't lie to you, her oldest and deepest friend. :haha:

Got two! I'll try some tonight.

My brain said WTF NOOOO! And then I remembered it's cold where you live.

It's Cheese Degreese out there today

Yummy! A bit sharp but not overpowering. Smooth. And I like the hint of crystals. Polished off one of the two.

lumberjim 12-08-2015 05:32 PM

Imma go out to my car now.

I'm going to try it, but it'll have to be something special to be better than Leraysville 6 year aged cheddar. :yum:

The family also enjoys Trader Joe’s Unexpected Cheddar

Being a cheese fan, I have to admit I did enjoy Arran cheddar.
It's strong/ mature (sharp) enough to stand out in big thick doorstep sandwiches, but not too overpowering for cheese on toast.

Cheddar isn't my favourite style of cheese by any stretch, but the Arran version is a good one. Holds its own well well with the Island's chutneys., pickles and mustards too.

Very pleased you Merkins have a chance at it - as far as I'm aware there aren't any English chain stores that sell it :sniff: Then again, finances (and lack of refrigeration) as they are in my life, I probably wouldn't be buying anyway.

I had to lie when a couple guys asked if there was more. I was smart and left one block out in the car. That is safely in my fridge now.

I love when you get that salt crystal... So smooth. In retrospect, I should have cut smaller chunks. It's potent. Eating it slowly is recommended.

Jebes that looks yummy.
