What you describe, incidentally, wouldn't be a cheesesteak even if it were sold in the heart of Sout' Philly. |

I have a new addiction that has controlled my diet for the last two weeks-
potatoes and hot sauce!! Sound gross? No, it's sooo good. First, you thin slice the potatoes and bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes. Then you toss them with 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter and dip in either Frank's red hot sauce or Tobasco chipotle pepper sauce. Yum! Blue cheese dressing is a very nice accompaniment. If you're feeling lazy, just melt the butter in the microwave with about 1 T hot sauce and toss it all- no need to dip. You can mix the hot sauce with the blue cheese, too. Sorry- I have pms. |
How about layering with a bit of butter before you bake the potatos? It'll make them nice and crispy like potato chips!

I had totally forgotten about the 39 cent Hamburger Stand. That place was nasty. It actually replaced a der Weinerschnitzel in the same building. That was kind of a traumatic moment in my childhood. |
breaking news, why did you have to go and put ideas in my pms-ing head?
I'm trying to control the amount of butter I load on them, but I've got to try that! |
Yo, staceyv: News flash!!

Cheerios. Dry.
I am writing this as I am having some other breakfast cereal (generic Sugar Smacks) dry. |
Any cereal dry is AWESOME! I love cheerios, smacks, golden grahams, chex, anything.

Steak with bleu cheese melted over it. :yum:
AND WHAT IS A CHEESESTEAK IF IT ISN'T CHEESE AND STEAK, HUH?? *sniff* |
that calcium and vitamin D thing is BS.
I'm already eating and taking enough calcium and vitamin D supplements to put me over my daily allowance. I've already read everything about how to relieve pms on the internet, in books, and asked my gynocologist for advice. Even the psychologist I went to said I don't have a mental disorder, but I seem to have a hormonal issue. This month was really strange. I was spotting on and off for a week. That's never happened to me before. I also had strange cravings for fried onions. I ate too many and woke up with kidney pains. Also, I was extremely tired, bitchy, bloated, moody, depressed, unmotivated, my breasts hurt really bad, and like every other month, I kept thinking: "oh my God, this can't be normal. I must be pregnant!" (I get many many symptoms of early pregnancy when I'm pms-ing) And of course I wasted over $20 taking 3 different pregnancy tests before the bitch came. Then I laid in bed with a heating pad for 36 hours, rolling, tossing and turning, grabbing, clawing and attempting to massage my stomach, and whimpering and crying from pain. ...Feeling much better now, thanks. |
I used to think being able to write my name in the snow was my greatest advantage over you...Thanks for doubling my thankfulness quotient.
|
I know staceyv has probably already checked with doctor's, but damn. That is some very nasty sounding PMSing. The only time I've ever laid in bed for 36 hours straight is when I had the flu.
And all of a sudden I want some good French Toast with extra butter. And bacon. And a large tomato juice with lemon in it. MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... |
totally addicted to ice.

staceyv: :O
snobs: there is help for your addiction |
