Slippers, zucchini bread, honeycrisp apples.

Honey Crisp are the King of apples. We planted a Honey Crisp a few years ago and this was the first year it bore fruit, about ten apples. Slowly, one by one, they succumbed to the millimeter's premature harvesting. She ate the last green one a month ago.

extra money in the mail today, which tops off my target amount for my car downpayment. Now all I need is the car.

AWE-SOME!
We just finished cutting down all the weed trees on my neighbor's side of the line. I had to wait ten years, but it happened. Neighbor died two years ago and her kids finally realized that thye had even less chance of selling her teardown with all the stank trees.

My garden is safe for democracy! BooYah sunlight!

All that and work on the house too.

PLUS! Fatbody is presumed dead. Thought I got what seemed to be a good head shot as he emerged from his hole, but he jumped right back in again. haven't seen him for several days, went to the entrance to check and saw a blob of something engulfed by maggots. Would have preferred to put his head on a pike and sing a song, but I'm happy that my zucchini are growing again. Still putting out flowers.

Man, you're on a roll... must be the full moon. ;)

I'm hoping it's the mania phase of the pendulum of my undiagnosed bi-polar whatsis. I plan to ride the wave all the way to shore and then hit the beach for a few months of not being able to get out of bed, figuring if everything is done, then I can work the "well deserved rest angle" for a bit before I have to face the music or go back on meds.

(there's a grain of truthiness in there somewhere)

My plan exactly.

Now about a month in, my new 8 student rental neighbors (total for houses on both sides) are proving to be friendly, responsible and not too loud.

you need to wait until at least midterms to make such an assessment That's when the craziness comes out!
