Yeah I left a voicemail on the number I had, but I can never be sure it's the right number. Even when he gave it to me he said he had another phone, but never got around to giving me the number...

Back when he was working for the Police I called the number he gave me and the (very polite and very Southern woman) could not or would not recognise the name to put me through. Turns out he'd given me an Army number - I think.

Now I don't like answering my phone, but there are people on the Cellar that have my parents' landline. Even if I move out of here, go into hospital or go AWOL there are people that people can speak to. I might even give some grandees my bro's number in future - just in case.

Not criticising Sarge, it's just hard on those of us left behind, not to know how and when to start worrying.

Gypsy 04-10-2013 06:54 PM

Glad this MIA turned out OK. I was having deja vu.

Sundae 04-10-2013 09:45 PM

Yeah, me too.
I couldn't handle losing another good person so soon.

Lola Bunny 04-11-2013 05:00 PM

Sarge sends his love. Someone is coming to visit him on Saturday, and she going to post something for him.

elSicomoro 04-13-2013 03:19 AM

Hello...back again...who knows for how long...so...hello...

Sundae 04-13-2013 05:51 AM

Welcome back, Syc.

Truly, I missed this whole episode until just now. Let's be safe people.

BigV 04-15-2013 10:35 AM

welcome back sycamore :)

on a different note, BrianR, please ask Pam to check in, thanks very much.

eta: snicker at typo of original post where I left off the "k" in "ask" above.

Aliantha 04-17-2013 05:32 AM

Where is Sundae? I hope i didnt upset here with my comment a few days ago. If i did, i am very sorry. I probably should keep things to myself a bit more.

I hope we see u back soon and ur not a big ball of pus cause ur finger ( which i am not sorry about) went toxic. Xxx

xoxoxoBruce 04-17-2013 08:22 AM

Her cat has probably mauled her. :eyebrow:

I wonder what's become of Jaguar, if he weathered the banking mess?

elSicomoro 04-17-2013 12:36 PM

I was just thinking about him a week or two ago...he's probably ruling the world in between Occupy protests...

infinite monkey 04-17-2013 12:44 PM

Oh, about every few months ago I put a call out for HLJ.

I know it won't work, but I'm no quitter. ;)

infinite monkey 04-20-2013 09:00 AM

OK...kerosene?

And has anyone talked to Sundae lately? Hey girl, hope all is well.

footfootfoot 04-20-2013 09:29 AM

I see kero post on fb sometimes.

BigV 05-13-2013 11:14 AM

Tora checked in a few days ago in the dwellar nsfw 2013 thread. I couldn't really understand what he said but it sounded like he'd just fucked someone for 12 hours straight. Maybe he's resting.

glatt 05-13-2013 02:05 PM

And he logged into the Cellar the night after his drunk post, but didn't post anything.

BigV 05-13-2013 02:05 PM

thanks, I've got over a hundred threads to catch up on, haven't gotten to that one yet apparently.

Aliantha 05-13-2013 04:35 PM

Does anyone have any 'real time' communication with Tora? he seemed pretty on the edge the last post i saw him write.

footfootfoot 05-13-2013 07:56 PM

I see UT deleted his nsfw post at Tora's request, so he was alive as of then.

BigV 05-13-2013 10:30 PM

I see I don't see that

was probably geotagged in vegas

Sundae 05-29-2013 03:32 AM

Just to let y'all know, Big Sarge is currently okay, he says. I'm so not sure.

He said I could let you know, but put no restrictions on me saying I am worried about him.
He's off to Camp Shelby on Thursday for 28 days.
"Family is betting I won't make it."

It's his birthday tomorrow, but if he's heading off, no cards will reach him.
And he's not even reading the Cellar these days I'm afraid.

ZenGum 05-29-2013 08:06 AM

Thanks for sharing, I was wondering about him recently.

busterb 05-30-2013 10:31 AM

Sarge sent me a pm awhile back, about having a meet-up at Camp Shelby. Heard nothing else.

BigV 05-30-2013 08:19 PM

spexx's back, excellent!

Undertoad 05-30-2013 09:03 PM

 reSpexx

glatt 05-31-2013 08:51 AM

So now when will Shawnee get back in here? I mean Infi.

Clodfobble 05-31-2013 02:01 PM

Monster's been silent awhile too.

Thelma and Louise.

OK, that probably belongs in the random movie/dwellar association thread.

I haven't heard any news about IM, but I imagine that she's decompressing still from a prolonged period of heavy stress. Maybe she's gamboling and frolicking in some lost valley scene. Or maybe she's gambling and f**cking in some Las Vegas suite. Different strokes and all that.

I hope whatever she's doing, she's enjoying her down time, she sure deserves some and deserves to enjoy it.

Undertoad 05-31-2013 02:50 PM

IM was using her phone and the library computer, so her I'net access was limited and maybe became more limited.

infinite monkey 06-01-2013 02:33 PM

it's because of the thumper principle, but it didn't stick.

i'm alive and sort of well. not having a high old time, but i think it's like a relationship that, through very little fault of your own, doesn't work out. it's still painful and i am constantly questioning myself and the situation. and of course there are still hoops: even though i've been working since i was in jr hi, often with one or two part time jobs along with the full-time...i still have to fight for what i rightly earned. i should've just laid (lain?) around with my hand out, lamenting the unfairness of everything. then, too, those who think i fucked that job up would have a basis for such a cruel assumption.

thanks for asking after me and i miss so many of you. i will be back when my anger is in check and things don't make me so pissed off and pissy anymore. ;)

Sundae 06-01-2013 03:43 PM

Why didn't you lie around with your hand out?
Same reason no long-time Dwellar did.
You did not want that life.

I've hated not working. Other Dwellars have hated not working.
This really isn't a place for people who just want to milk the system.
So come here and be frustrated and angry and sound off. Can't say it will help, just that I miss you.

I really thought and hoped that getting away from that toxic work situation would be good for you. I'm sure it will when you look back on it.

Hic quoque transiet.
Which would be a shitty thing to say if I hadn't been through it myself.
But I have.
Oh, yeah. Sorry. It didn't really help me either.

ZenGum 06-01-2013 07:28 PM

Monkey, you have just extricated yourself from an abusive relationship. Of course it's going to take time to heal.

You can come in here and be all grouchy and pissy if you want. Especially if you throw in some of your wit with it.

Meantime, hit up temp agencies. Even a months work will make you feel better. Kinda like a post-divorce fling. :comfort:

orthodoc 06-02-2013 12:11 AM

Glad you're still hanging in there, IM. We need your wit around here. I hope you feel up to coming back soon.

classicman 06-02-2013 11:08 PM

Came back hoping to see a few of the people mentioned posting.
Irrigated and/or irritated they are not. I blame everyone for everything.

Where is HLJ anyway?

Bullitt had a birfday recently although he doesn't visit much anymore either. Busy with a young lady and a FT job. that damn life thing takin up all his time.

Lastly - I haven't seen hide nor hair of Ibram either. He around?

Sacrilege!

Banished to the editing window you are. :eyebrow:

classicman 06-03-2013 12:00 AM

I'm discussing this with my Freudian side ...
Methinks I'll leave it.

sexobon 06-03-2013 12:10 AM

Very well; but, don't be surprised if she shows you some hide and hair in the NSFW thread.

classicman 06-03-2013 12:14 AM

{Post deleted for the sanity of ... me}

sexobon 06-07-2013 01:55 AM

Say, where's that nice gal who goes by the flammable fuel moniker?

Aliantha 06-07-2013 03:36 AM

Too busy sketching to come here i suspect. :)

DanaC 06-07-2013 03:55 AM

.... flammable fuel?

Sundae 06-07-2013 04:03 AM

I know who he means.
But I was tempted to reply, "Are you referring to the popular Dwellar, Petroleum?"

sexobon 06-07-2013 04:03 AM

Kerosene - hot stuff! :D

ZenGum 06-07-2013 07:11 AM

Speaking of hot stuff ... Sheldon?

and BrianR?

Without them and Ibby it's as mainstream as the Brady Bunch in here.

glatt 06-07-2013 01:59 PM

Gravdigr's been gone for a while too.

It always gets a little slow around here in the summer, but it's not quite summer yet.

Lola Bunny 06-07-2013 10:43 PM

It has been getting more and more quiet lately, and not because it's summer. Well, I'm guilty of not participating much either. :p

orthodoc 06-08-2013 12:55 AM

I could always go in an unexpected direction, if that would spice things up.

It's the story
Of a website Admin
Who was aided by two very wary Mods
All of them had ban buttons on their consoles
They were like forums gods

It's a story
About a bunch of users
Who were busy with keyboards of their own
They were all online surfing the web together
Yet they were all alone

Until the one day each would link up to the website
And they found it much more than hoot 'n' holler
Then they knew, this group must somehow be a community
That's the way they all became the Cellar dwellers.

The Cellar Dwellars
The Cellar Dwellars
That's the way we all became
The Cellar Dwellars

ZenGum 06-08-2013 07:07 AM

 :notworthy

Crimson Ghost 06-08-2013 07:18 AM

Great.
All I can think about now is Alice handling Sam the Butchers meat.

DanaC 06-08-2013 09:35 AM

Teh Awsum.

Griff 06-08-2013 10:22 AM

Nice!

Undertoad 06-08-2013 12:26 PM

hee hee

orthodoc 06-08-2013 10:16 PM

You are the Weird Al Yankovic of the Cellar. :p:

footfootfoot 06-09-2013 11:46 AM

Yes, he is an inspiration. Awesome job!

plthijinx 06-09-2013 03:17 PM

that was sweet!

busterb 07-02-2013 10:14 PM

How about Iamsam?

Undertoad 07-03-2013 08:39 AM

She couldn't stand being exposed for, what, the 37th time?, as a compulsive lying sack of shit. (I apologize to anyone who fell for her and thought she was a sympathetic character. She was lying to you when you decided that.)
