Big Sarge 10-21-2013 05:51 PM

I love this thread! I cannot get over how much Eva has grown. I still picture her as an itty-bitty thing. Love that pic of Max

The "big boys" are still about 12 in my mind's eye -- so strange to see them as young men. :) The whole crew looks great, Ali!

Thanks everyone. We are very happy with how they are growing. :)

Beans helps cook dinner!

Cute! Eva is all about closing doors and drawers for me atm. After she does it, she looks at me with a big grin and claps her hands. lol. Simple things. Hehe

Chocolatl 10-25-2013 06:13 PM

Aww! They just love helping, don't they? Beans likes picking up -- she'll put away all her toys then clap that she's done! Too bad that habit probably won't stick... lol

Aliantha 10-25-2013 06:42 PM

Haha...probably not, although the boys are not too bad. Aden is the messiest, but they seem to be more tidy as they go down the birth order. lol

My daughter plays trombone in the HS band. They're pretty good. I wish the football team was as good. 7 to 28 in the first quarter. It's going to be a long game.

Its amazing how fancy yhe band uniforms are. When i was in hs band/orchestra, we just had to wear our school uniform.

glatt 10-25-2013 07:45 PM

They're not even wearing the full uniforms. Only the hats. Keeping the uniforms clean for a competition tomorrow.

Most American schools have no regular school uniform, so they can hit you up harder for a more expensive extracurricular uniform. In our orchestra, girls had to have a black dress sewn from a specific pattern. If your parents wanted, they could attempt it themselves, but pretty much everyone paid the one parent who was a professional seamstress to make theirs. It was like $60 or $70 bucks, but at the same time, she did alterations for free over the next four years as your boobs and hips came in and that freshman dress no longer fit.

The boys had to wear a tux, leased from a retailer the school had an arrangement with (part of the profits went back to the orchestra to pay for trips and whatnot.)

Rest easy, neighborhood kids. Your candy has all been personally inspected by a baby.

This past week Mr. Bones came to visit. I took him for a drive around the neighborhood and then over to my grandkids house last night for Halloween. He is a great guest, he doesn't eat much or talk a lot.

Clodfobble 11-01-2013 12:14 PM

Neat, Chris. Where did you get your Mr. Bones?

chrisinhouston 11-01-2013 02:26 PM

CVS drug store had all their Halloween stuff on clearance so they can get the store all decked out for frigging Christmas. I couldn't resist it at $25 instead of $50 for regular price. And I have to admit it seems pretty well made.
