Suzy Bogguss 20 Greatest Hits. Absolutely gorgeous voice. I could listen to this woman sing the phone book.
Here's a taste. |
Was just introduced to Liz Phair's music recently. I like it. It's different.
|
Oh I like that a lot. She has a great voice.
|
The Lumineers.
|
Oh Slayer...I love you so...
And if you haven't caught the new Depeche Mode yet, you're really missing a great CD: Going to see them in Dallas in September...haven't seen them since '05...yeah!!! |
I ain't listening to shit. I quit radio. Just fucking stopped. And I am tired of every cd I own.
The last cd I bought was 2008. |
The new Black Sabbath single:
|
@ gdiggr- Have you tried Cake?
|
I'm 235 lbs, and you ask me if I've fucking tried cake? I fucking love cake!
Oh, Cake. Heard of them. I'll YouTube 'em later, and see what's what. |
There's a fucking alarm going off in my house...but it's not a standard wake-up one, and it's only doing it periodically. And I can't find it!!!

I found the alarm! It was our dishwasher...I don't know what the hell that was about...
|
Every spring since 1986 I listen to XTC's Skylarking, produced by Todd Rundgren.
Tonight is the night. It is glorious! |
With or without Dear God on it? A great CD, but even better with that track.
|
With, of course!
|
Apparently the original version (UK and the original American one) did not include the song...it was added when it became popular in the US.
|
Andy Partridge said about the song that it's years of man's belief in three minutes - maybe the subject takes a longer exposition. I say, it's Partridge's sudden interjection and it's art and it belongs.
|
It's such a biting commentary that still rings controversial 25 years later. I would imagine the fuss back then was even bigger.

Right nowim listening to my WHO record :) (Whos next)
Current song: The song is over |
What time zone are you in where you are listening to the Who at 5 AM Eastern time? I'd probably not listen to them until late morning at the earliest. I like a little quiet in my mornings.
|
I'm listening to a bunch of goddamned, screeching bluejays, RFN.
I hate bluejays. The Toronto kind are ok, but, the feathered variety...yeesh. |

|
That looks pretty cool! Thanks but we're hiking in the Adirondacks during that, then going to see Against Me, and then she's off to New Zealand for a semester... kinda full plate.
|
I'm in the process of ripping each of the CDs from the Flaming Lips album Zaireeka, then mashing them together in Garage Band.
If you're not familiar with the album/experiment: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zaireeka |
Dragonforce - Inhuman Rampage

Dragonforce is pretty wild. Also in that vein, I enjoy Protest the Hero.

I'm not listening yet, but I snagged some goodies at the going out of business sale at Hastings. I did the same thing a few weeks ago.
|
Kenny G?!
Please turn in your Man Card at your earliest convenience. :p: |
I listen to damn near everything. Kenny G played with Barry White, so he has hard cred.
|
Listened to Eric Clapton "Live in San Diego" all day today.
Special guest: J.J. Cale. Also, Derek Trucks slide-goodness, Doyle Bramhall II, & Robert Cray. From March 2007, at Ipayone Center. |

This is NOT your daddy's 70's "album oriented radio" rock. Beware the bass! The bass on this album is MASSIVE but very, very clean. The guitar work is so good it's hard to remember sometimes that the lead guitarist was the one Jimmy Page recommended take his place in the Yardbirds in 1965 so he could go form up Led Zeppelin. Jeff Beck is 72 years old and you'd never know it listening to this--he plays from a much younger heart. My personal favorite tracks are #2, 'Live In The Dark' (I highly recommend the lyrics video as well) and #3, 'Pull It'. #1, 'The Revolution Will Be Televised', is also a lot of fun. I treated half of Spokane to the entire disc while we were stuck in traffic headed home back in August. :D |
Just listened to 'Live In The Dark'. That fairly well rocked.
Sampling 'Loud Hailer' now off YouTube. Update: 'Live In The Dark' is the only song I care for. |
Random songs have popped into my head over the last few weeks...a lot of Bowie in particular: Boss of Me, New Angels of Promise, pretty much anything off the Low and Lodger albums.

The Night Watch by King Crimson
