Thor swam and Hector dove today. i had to leave the swim meet early to see the second half of the dive meet. I felt bad doin gthat because i was marshalling, but I wanted to catch some of Hector's dives. I'm knackered and burned and my toe is split. I think I'll go for a swim :) Lie in tomorrow, Hebe dives if the afternoon, then the same again on Thursday

Insurance doesn't cover unless the downed tree damaged home, fence, barn, drive-way, etc. they don't cover tree removal or damage to trees due to storm. We paid our deductible, and since a tree fell on my roof the ins. will cover that particular tree, and the two that fell on my fence. Since tree hit roof, the ins. co. pays for the roof damage and I've had two roofers tell me I need a complete roof - a total tear down and re-do. They are sending out an adjuster on 8/4 to approve the needed roof and fence work.

IOW, we ate most of the 3500.00. but insurance will get me roof, gutters and fence.

Saturday! Entire family out of the house by 6:30 with all appropriate sporting gear. Now sat watching the first hockey eval taking advantage of the free wireless. One on the ice, one in the locker room and one in the water somewhere else.

I was up at 5am. I'm pretty sure 5;25 is the earliest I've filled the gas tank. Aren't you supposed to get more bang for your buck in the cooler hours? :lol:

Spent the day canoeing with the 7/8 grade and the evning being annoyed by People Who Suck. What are the chances I can stay awake another hour? Slim, I'd say.....

Taking a gamble today. Since school started I've been getting the kids up an hour before the bus arrived, because I needed every minute of it to get Minifobette through the steps (she kept breaking down over control issues--she'll put on underwear because she wants to, not because I tell her to, dammit...)

But since I went all therapizing on her ass and introduced a picture cue schedule for the morning routine, she's gotten into the groove and is moving faster. So this morning I'm waking them up at 6:10. Someday I might even get to sleep that extra ten minutes on my end of the schedule. Glory be!

Fell asleep here, beest woke me to go to bed around midnight. Up at 5 again, gotta work something out....

They will generally have an almighty row before they leave because Dad needs to go RIGHT NOW and Mum has cut short her internet session with an impressive degree of martrydom.

The row will generally be about something Dad has forgotten (shopping list, car keys, glasses etc) because he has Alzheimers/ is senile. And stupid.

Yay for the peace that ensues when they leave!
