I vote for spanking.... it's more fun and it removes that messy Catholic belief of having to shave one's palms...

777 is Gods number ~ just an fyi :)
|
That's what Stryper taught us in the '80's.
|
Hey I saw them, they opened for amy grant. i was not into hard christain rock at the time. i enjoyed amy though :)
one time we went and saw benny hester. he called all the children up to the foot of the stage. my daughter was about 3, she had her hands folded behind her back and twisting back and forth.....she looked over at the lil boys next to her and stuck out her tongue. benny stopped talking and looked at her and said: "you are so cute, do you know that?" she was sooo embarrased. haha. it was the cutest thing i had ever seen at that point in my life. |
I saw Stryper too. I used to like them. Sad but true. I actually caught a Bible they threw into the audience. The bass player Oz Fox threw it right to me. haha!
|
one of my girls caught a "Plus One" bandana. they were in 777th heaven with that one.
now look at the "time" i am late for work. see what you do to me? ;) talk laterz doll face! *lurves her stevie* |

Hmmm...this thread was an interesting read. I must have been on sabbatical when this happened. Some things make a lot more sense now.
Now, whatever happened to that Mari chick? kidding! |
that was am interesting read

No, Mari got banned, I think. I was one of the few who actually kind of liked her. The rest of you may consider that a warning, or at least, those of you whom I like. |
Whew! guess I'm safe then.

I'm actually brewing a long post on a related topic......it's nearly fermented.....call this statement .....foreshadowing..... |
pretty funny to read Flint being blasted as a newbie, and LJ blasting away at posters of meaningless threads . . .
|
i was egged on.....
...I'm so ashamed...... isn't it deliciously humiliating to read something you've written just a couple years ago? especially if you can see that you were being retarded and juvenile? I think so... |
and the words are captured on this here net thingy 4EVAH!
|
that's the best part.
|
whimper.
Please. Make it go away. |
Great stuff. Apparently, cloney funnies weren't "cool" yet. You are ahead of your time, Flintster. ;)
|
LOL! "Fit the fuck in."
lol!! Ok...new sig. |
i just reread through this thread and i have to say that outside of Flint most of the AG invasion did turn out to be shit. fortunately they floated away. I remember being pissed at the absolute flood of shit they brought in.
|
What's funny is that the "AG invasion" was 99% SteveBsjb and myself. The only flood of shit was the shit that we were stirring.
Aside from the two of us, there was one other guy (that I never even liked on AG) that was a total kiss-ass, trying too hard to fit in, and a few other people that only posted a few times and then lost interest. There were also a few well-behaved AGers that are still members here. I find it funny that you still believe there was a "flood" or "invasion" of AGers. |
From our perspective, there was absolutely a flood. No question.
(where "we" are long term dwellars who were here well before the AG arrival.) |
fair enough. there was a not a literal flood of people coming in. But this is the cellar. it seems to be a pretty big month if one new person shows up and becomes an active, positive contributor. You and steveadfhadbfadfhaajob may have been the most active, but my perception was that there was a whole flood of crap. i don't remember the ass-kisser, but I very actively disliked that steve guy's entrance. you, i was cautiously optimistic about. in retrospect I can say that i have an instant dislike/distrust/disinterest in anyone that barges in and instantly has an opinion on every single subject and then plays the "it's only a message board" card. sure, it may only be words on a screen, but i consider the cellar a community of friends. i'm always looking for new friends, but i can be picky about who i like.
|
Why does everyone misinterpret my "it's only words on a screen" mantra? This is meant to HELP people realize they shouldn't get upset when someone is "mean to them" or insulting on a message board. I get the whole community thing, I really do, but I draw the line at being offended by a faceless post on a message board.
Glad people here seem to appreciate the cleverness which is a clone thread now. I hope newbies aren't being forced to "fit the fuck in". Message boards should be a melting pot. I think all my posts in this thread were quite calm, cool, and polite. I have never been rude first, but I will fight fire with fire (but only because it provides a momentary smirk - never an LOL). The AG invasion was fun. It didn't ruin anyone's lives. It gave everyone something to talk about. I think it helped create your "Nothingland" too. And AG is still great too. Glad to see that Flint hung in long enough to fight the good fight and show that people from planet AG mean you no harm. But, it is really only words on a screen you know. I may start posting here on a regular basis again. |
Heh.
|
Was this the thread Marichiko talked herself into a permanent ban with? Gawd, she was crankish.
|
There you have it, proof she wasn't all bad.
