There's more changing of signature lines and whatever you call the description below the screen name here compared to other sites, though my experience is limited.

And then there's whale penis here. You don't get that just anywhere!

The abbreviation UT also stands for Ultimate in Tolerance.

I only grammar nazi if it involves an amusing double entendre of some kind.

Well, you know, they won't fit just anywhere.

Aliantha 01-30-2006 05:09 PM

Well thanks for all the advice girls and boys. :) I'll be sure to make sure it's all duly noted. I probably wont change my signature for the moment though. I'm planning on breaking through the brick wall sooner or later. ;)

"Won't" has an apostraphe.

I kid, I kid. I'm not really a spelling/grammar nazi.

That apostrophe never made sense anyway.

Aliantha 01-30-2006 05:27 PM

Did you mean apostrophe? ;)

Aliantha 01-30-2006 05:30 PM

Further to that, as the word 'wont' is a contraction of the words 'will not', in formal language the apostrophe is required, however, for the purposes of general English, the apostrophe may be omitted without censure.

Happy Monkey 01-30-2006 05:31 PM

Touché

Aliantha 01-30-2006 05:33 PM

lol...thankyou!

footfootfoot 01-30-2006 06:48 PM

What about wont, as in: "As is her wont." Or is it spelled want?

Aliantha 01-30-2006 06:51 PM

I think you had it right the first time. I'm not the spelling police though. You should probably wait for HM to comment. :)

Happy Monkey 01-30-2006 07:02 PM

It's "As is her wont".

lumberjim 01-30-2006 07:13 PM

Aliantha 01-30-2006 07:15 PM

I looked through this thread to try and find legitimate questions to answer, but I had no such luck. :( Maybe no one here really wants to know anything about newbies after-all?
