There's been quite an interest in buying gold, as well. Right now, I'd invest in gold rather than dollars or reals - if I had anything to invest.

The time to invest in gold was 12 years ago. You may lose your shirt if you try to invest now. Now it would just be buying gold, not investing in it.

My parents came to visit and they have the ipod touch. I normally don't get all excited over electronic gadgets, but it is so freaking cool! They called up my brother in California over our wifi FIOS connection and we did the free video call thing. It was so cool carrying that around the house doing the video chat and showing him stuff around the house. I'm really tempted to get one. The kids could keep in touch with the grandparents and the two uncles, who also have them.

I can see why the Apple stores were hopping. Very temping.
