I ate at the cafeteria in one of the residence halls at Univ. of Illinois today - I felt like an undergrad, but for all you can eat at $2.50, it's a total steal.

I had half a calzone, a piece of honey dijon chicken (which rocked!), brocolli, cottage cheese, a piece of turkey and an M&M cookie. Plus, I took a to-go cup of diet coke back to the office with me. I can eat breakfast at the halls for $1.50 and dinner for $3.50 - I never need to go home again!

BBQ sandwich, lays kettle cooked jalapeno chips and ice tea from the deli in the next building over....heartburn city!

I was ambushed by two unexpectedly spicy frozen burritos which I grabbed out of the freezer this morning. Good, but painful.

fresh 1" thick cut ribeye

Leftovers: Mashed cauliflower, diced roast beef, some mayo and mustard, american cheese, all heated up, with crushed town house crackers sprinkled on top. :yum: Little Debbie peanut butter chocolate waffle bars for dessert.

The kids are having "nachos" - chips, refries, goat cheddar and winter squash. I'm having sushi I bought last night at Wholefoods. I also have some sushi leftovers in there from dinner last night (Margaret Kuo's in Frazer - not recommended btw) :thepain3:

how long will sushi last in the fridge? i do have some leftover from time to time but i'm always skeptacal about it so i never end up eating it....

jinx 02-16-2006 01:04 PM

For me it has about a 50% chance of being edible the next day. I've never gotten sick from leftovers but often its just not appetizing anymore.

I had an amazing Turkey club wrap with killer spicy sauce (from a place in L'Enfant Plaza in DC)...and a water.

I spent most my lunch break getting a couple of minor fish tank supplies (for my minor fish tank here on my credenza at work), a new plant and some pots for my existing plants in my office. I spend a hell of a lot of time in this place, and so I am actively trying to make it more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.

What with the lack of time remaining, I just nabbed a Quik Trip sandwich (prosciutto, pepperoni and provolone on foccacia), a bag of chips, a diet coke and some watermelon flavored pseudo-licorice thingies.

I had a bagel, half with butter and plum jam, the other half with Adams "natural" peanut butter (off brand that I won't be buying again because it was way too oily and lacked peanutty taste, I'm sticking with Crazy Richards from now on).

Tonight, however, I am going out for dinner and will be having Mexican. Los Aztecas in Pottstown (I'd appreciate recommendations for dishes if anyone has been there). A friend of mine is down from Long Island teaching a class and we're getting together tonight.

That is a picture of recently excised fistula. My son had that surgery done a couple of years ago when he developed a pilonital cyst, which caused an anal fistula to form. It was not fun, especially since I was the one who had to do most of the cleaning and redressing twice a day for a month. Furthermore, he subsequently developed infection in the incision site, which later went on to cause him to suffer infected cerebrospinal fluid when he had to have his VP shunt revised a month later.

Not terribly appetizing, either in photo or memory.

I haven't been there but I'd recommend chili rellenos becuase they're so tasty.:yum: I look forward to a review - haven't had good mexican in forever.

The last time I had Mexican, Sycamore, MomSycamore, and I went to Johnny Maņana's in Philadelphia.

I had the big enchi-thingywhatsis and the blue slushy margarita. And complained about the parking.

Everyone was out walking around at lunchtime today in DC. Beautiful day.

I had a blueberry yogurt, a ham and cheese sandwich, and two small brownies, all brought from home. I also had a big cup of water.
