Yeah, crispy M&Ms came out here... I want to say at least ten years ago. Someday they'll sell all the other varieties in Australia too.

Spicy Cajun Pringles: Can't keep them in the house or they start replacing meals
Reese's Crunchy Peanut Butter Cups

I'm just coming off a Nachos phase as I've finished the last of the home grown peppers.
It'll probabaly start again in September when this years crop start to mature.

Really odd, but I love buffalo wings. I have to restrain myself from eating them every day, which is difficult considering a) just about every shop in my neighborhood makes a good batch of wings, and b) the wings I make are pretty damn awesome too.

Most likely it's because I love hot stuff. I drown most everything I eat in tabasco, but there's something about fried chicken bits soaked in wing sauce (I prefer straight tabasco and butter) that is so delightfully greasy and ... perfect.

Amen to keeping the darkside M&Ms... they ROCK! Especially the peanut ones.

I wish M&Ms would coat pretzels in chocolate and then cover that with the crisp candy shell that melts in your mouth, not in your hands. I think that would be the ULTIMATE snack.

Breaking news, whenever my mother or my grandmother want to lose weight, they snack on low fat popcorn and tabasco sauce all day. It gives you that heat and flavor, salt and crunch with minimal calories and no fat. Too bad I'm allergic to corn...But try it! It might cure your wing issue :)

I can't forget the carmel M&Ms perth's mother brought out from Las Vegas one year. I haven't seen them since.

Shucks, no location near me. Where the fuck is Liverpool, NY, anyway?

Atomic Wings has overrun NYC, and I have to say, they make a damn fine buffalo wing. Choice of six levels of heat, plus three "sweet" flavors (for the weaklings). Truth be told, anything below "Nuclear" - while really, really tasty - is more like flavoring; Nuclear is steamy, and "Suicidal" is just kinda silly.

And then for you other northeastern types, Cluck-U Chicken has got to be one of the best, greasiest joints out there. They used to have about 12 levels of heat. Not only could I barely eat just one "911" wing, the sauce made my fingers burn, too.

But goddamn I love it!  :yum:

Point of order: nothing eaten more than 20 miles outside of Philadelphia is a Cheesesteak.

Is so a Cheesesteak. Freakin' elitist.

elSicomoro 06-09-2005 09:57 AM

No dear, it's not. I know...it's hard to accept, but if there is one thing that is truly Philadelphia, it's the cheesesteak. They can't be duplicated anywhere else. :)

Cluck-U is awesome...Rho and I used to live by two of them when we lived in DC. Good stuff!

There are three "genuine" Philly steak places here in New York, including a branch of Tony Luke's on Oregon Ave.

While Carl's and Tony Luke's are both pretty damn tasty, they don't at all size up to an authentic Whiz Wit from Sonny's or Jim's. I think it has to do with the amount of greasy drip, which was entirely absent the last three times I ate a cheesesteak in NY. Furthermore, the guys at Carl's didn't even understand my order and totally fucked up (whiz shrooms with), and then my friends wimped out and went with american cheese. Bunch of fairies, they are.

And 99 miles to Philly, in Astor Place, is just plain horrendous.

So, in short, I agree. Near impossible to get a good steak outside of Philly.
