How's She Who Must Be Obeyed's eye doing?

fargon 10-12-2016 06:27 AM

They took measurements yesterday of her eye. They are going to put in an artificial lens to prevent cataracts. the surgery is next week, and I'm gonna have to scoop the cat boxes for a while. But they are expecting a full recovery.
Thank You for your thoughts and prayers.

Good to hear.

Well she goes in tomorrow morning for surgery. I'm a nervous wreck, and can't sleep. I worry about her constantly all the time anyway, and pray for her constantly. I know intellectually that everything is gonna be alright, but I still worry. Like Bob Marley said "Every little thing is gonna be alright".

If she's going in for a simple cataract removal / artificial lens implant, you can reduce your worrying substantially. The complication rate is low, but I know that's no consolation for a loved one.

Hope all goes well and she's seeing fine in no time!

Your job is to worry and scoop litter boxes. ;)

Also, the Rev. Marley makes a good point.

Keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes as planned, fargon!

She is feeling better. She goes in tomorrow to remove the bandages and to see if they did it right. Everyone of the nurses was very positive and reassuring. She feels good about the whole thing, maybe I'll sleep tonite.
