Dinner.
My starter was cheese tart. Mr Limey had duck. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...e41d8b25e4.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...018cf55c17.jpg My main course was silver mullet, mussels, cockles and a langoustine in a tomato bisque. Mr L had chicken. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...7f34207c40.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...ed5ee0610c.jpg Sent by thought transference |
I was assured the lemon tart was really tart so I chose that for dessert. It was.
The Mr had fruit salad. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...ccbcc134be.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...712bc26665.jpg Sent by thought transference |
Awesome pics and reportage, Limes, as per.
As an aside - I keep reading the thread title as 'Another Joint'. |
I wish I could treat you to a bottle of champagne (or your choice) for sharing this fantastic journey. As a matter of fact, get it, PM me, and I'll reimburse you.

I love every single one of these pictures. Hotel on a tidal causeway!

Breakfast is in the Ganges Room (well, it wouldn't do to have it in the ballroom, would it?!).

And of course there is a snooker room in the games corridor.
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...426a98e580.jpg This is where the library is. And a table tennis room, with light fittings like this. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...00244aff59.jpg Two last cocktails. A martini and a Burgh Bramble (crėme de cassis, Pimm's No 1 and Ruby Port ). http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...2030b345c8.jpg Sent by thought transference |
Sorry I'm just catching up to this thread. It's an amazing location!
Do you see any evidence of utilities connecting this palace to the mainland? Cables? Plumbing? |
Must be under ground or under the causeway.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!" Limey's Bear. :haha:

Cheers Bruce! Thanks for the cocktails in post 38 [emoji483] [emoji485]
