They can bag that disgusting go daddy commercial any time now. The slurps are just too gross!

jimhelm 02-03-2013 09:57 PM

Thus is not whining.... I'm glad the ravens held on to the win. That power outage seriously altered the momentum of the game. Had the niners won, there would have been whining.

infinite monkey 02-03-2013 10:01 PM

There would have been huge whining, for sure.

infinite monkey 02-03-2013 10:02 PM

If god is with ya...

Blech.

ZenGum 02-03-2013 10:22 PM

All I can say is, I wish I could make the last two minutes of sex last as long as the last two minutes of the superbowl.

Loosen your grip. :p:

It was disgusting. I've said it before, hearing other people's fucky kissy slurps is like smelling someone else's farts. I mean, it's fine if they're your own.

But that's all Godaddy can do: appeal to men's pants. I thought it was the shit stupidest commercial they've ever done. And nasty, to boot.

:vomit:

Made me laugh this morning.
Sky TV (being Murdoch owned) were all over the Superbowl.
I mean some people in this country watch it - my bro being one, but he goes to America at least once a year and likes Merkin sports.
But to most people it's akin to Kabbadi finals (which got press here as our women did so well).

Went upstairs to shower and switched on 5 Live (BBC radio.)
Rachel Burden was just talking about Beyonce's hair. About how BIG it was. How did she get such big hair? It was just enormously big.

Now, Burden knows her rugby and football (soccer) - she's not a bim. So it was funny to me that the most prolonged conversation on a national radio station was one that expressed sheer bewilderment at hair. Even George Riley (sports correspondant) admitted to not staying up to watch the game. He couldn't sleep and wandered down to catch the score, but happened on the blackout.

We're all over the FA Cup at present. The best domestic cup competition in the world apparently, because it produces so many giant-slayers.

infinite monkey 02-04-2013 03:22 PM

The Financial Aid Cup? Cool?

Is it a soccer thing? They brought that over here so the untalented kids had something to do. "Here's your trophy, kid...way to get out of the car!"

Oh, sorry, this thread is about NFL stuff...please to excuse. ;)

Sundae 02-04-2013 03:25 PM

Snicker.
It was an American who said that about the Football Association cup.
I'm just to lazy to trawl t'internet for it :)

I don't watch football on TV myself.
No Bouncy half-time shows.

But it's one of the FEW that you remember. and one of the even fewer that you remember who the commercial is for. I think I must have seen at least 3 that I had to make an effort to figure out who the ad was promoting. (the one with the lucky chair especially.)

I've ONLY ever seen GoDaddy commercials on the Superbowl. I think they must spend their entire advertising budget on that one ad each year. which is fucking brilliant, IMO.

glatt 02-05-2013 10:07 AM

I'm not sure how brilliant it is. GoDaddy is a service that 99.9% of the Super Bowl viewing population will never need. What does it matter if we remember them? And if I do decide to register a domain name, I'm going to take at least 5 minutes to research different services. I've seen a bit of negative press about GoDaddy's services, so you would think they would be better served by cleaning up their act than by force-feeding commercials to people who will never register a domain.

And I have a domain that I never use. It's just that my brother owns it and registered it.
