I loved the shark one - I'll have it if Max doesn't want it Ali.

Of course my fave is the aquarium cake, but yes I had seen it before.
Which isn't to say I'm not impressed all over again.
I might feel a steal coming on - it's such a talking point of a dessert...

pour the jelly a little at a time. set the first layer, then make slits in it for the fish/whatever, insert then so the hold, then pour the next layer, wait for it to set, repeat.

My bug filled halloween jelly wasn't so successful because it had to stand around too long, but I'm going to try again this year.

I really want to make a swimming one, but i can't find little swimmers to put in it.

Hmm. There was a dinosaur cake with fresh coconut shards as teeth. I wonder if that was in the year of the bad pictures? That had the werdest color/sheen to it as i topped it with chocolate butter cream with green food color in it and the choclate and color didn't mix brilliantly -it was very effective as dinosaur skin.

Our differences aside, those cakes are nothing short of amazing.
I've never seen anything with that level of creativity.
I'm sure your kids will remember them forever.

Super! :thumb2: Sorry for the late response. I've been super busy. Haven't even had time to bake those cookies so I could decorate them by Friday.

You didn't mean ...

Attachment 34697

did you?

monster 10-20-2011 10:31 PM

no. PZ, those are more kinda floaters, but if there were ones on swimming positions, that's exactly what I mean, thanks -closest yet. Unfortunately their shipping kinda puts it out of my price range, too....

and thanks to the person that PM'd me with a suggestion but I was unable to reply becuase they opted not to receive PMs. good suggestion, little too far out of the price range. And please post on the board more.

What about making your own with marzipan?

monster 10-20-2011 10:45 PM

<hates marzipan ...but they need to be plastic -I want to suspend them in Jello -marzipan would deteriorate too much.

Clodfobble 10-21-2011 08:29 AM

Here's some, but they might be too expensive, I don't know.

footfootfoot 10-21-2011 11:30 AM

yep, railroad model figures. They come in all varieties of poses.
