For a guy who used to mostly play keyboards for one-hit wonders, this is a pretty big switch. I'm nervous and excited.

Awesome smooth! I would love to hear it. Will it be up o piratebay?:p:

Was that Tasmanian Philatelic Society reports? :) [hmmm, that one's about as good as the Lindt line...utterly lame]

There were actually two parts to the evening. In the first part I met this absolutely delightful gay guy who was wearing this amazing, grey, wool suit with square buttons-perfect attire, you'll agree, for an Australian summer, paella party. We swapped companion planting and cleaning tips with a focus on natural products. That alone would have made it a perfect Saturday night. The second part was where the reconfigurement of the glass panel took place-luckily my hosts and their other guests were only momentarily distracted from their dancing by this. As soon as the glass and blood were cleaned up, everyone went straight back to it. I, however, had an acceptable reason for not dancing and instead spent the rest of the evening observing proceedings.

SG, thanks for asking-I know now what a 1 x 0.5 cm wavy section of of my knee looks like under the skin and I have tested out the effectiveness of various kinds of elastoplast. I did play squash last night with no blood lost and I successfully completed a reconnaisance mission to my folks' place to "borrow" antiseptic powder from their overstocked pharmeceuticals cupboard with no-one (not even the cat) noticing thereby escaping well-intentioned, but annoying medical advice.

More questions for SG: Did the postman arrive? Did you send your Secret Santa? How was the dress rehearsal?

Tasmanian Picture Show, I think. Sounds like a great party, Companion planting eh? We learned about that in my organic gardening class. very entertaining.

Alright folks, the week's more than halfway over, and you know damn well you aren't going to work as hard over the weekend as you would on a weekday. How's everyone doing?

I will finish my oddly spur-of-the-moment crafty project, making two weighted blankets.

For item number 1... well, I got the transcript at any rate. There's a slight chance I'll still get it scanned and emailed to the right guy tomorrow.

Item number 2... Purchased all the definite items, and 2 have actually arrived already. But I cannot claim "serious headway" on the remainder.

Number 3... I finished the first blanket in very good time, but have been dragging my feet on starting the second one. Definitely won't finish it by Sunday, even if I started right now.

All in all, I failed to meet my stated goals.

Done: Replacement of glass is booked in.

Gotta learn more about companion planting. So incredibly useful.

What did I achieve so far.....um, nothing substantial beyond the ordinary. Found my advent calendar. Got the advent calendars up on time. But beest was rocking on overdue jobs last night and got all the halloween stuff down to the basement. Maybe today's the day..... i just made a definitive list of library items to be hunted down. But i suspect that's more procrastination/everyday and checked off the to-do list.... just doing it a little better than usual.

...I never even got round to specifying what I was going to do because I had a feeling that i was going to suck this week and... it was mostly an "unstarring" thread by origin.

I want to get my outside fairy lights up tomorrow afternoon, but it has the makings of being damn cold.... other than that, my weekend is predetermined. Swim Team Carbo Load, figure skating and late hockey game this evening, early swim championship and hockey practice tomorrow, hockey practice, hockey game followed by mad dash across eastern michigan to a swim championship for two Sunday.

I did half of what I set out to do. It's not my fault though. I'm waiting on others to do their shit.

Pretty busy this week and beginning of next. I've already had to write an 8 pg paper, then I had to see a play for drama. Went to A Christmas Carol by the Dallas Theater Group last night, it was really good.

I have to write a critique over the play
Pick up meds that I've been out of for over a week
Do an extra credit assignment or two
Finish up SS present and mail it (hopefully tomorrow)
Take Della to the park, give Della bath
Study for a test
Buy a present for my mom and brother (mom bday is Dec 3, bro is Dec 5)
Buy anniversary present for my brother and SIL (Dec 4)
Send Bday card to Uncle in FL (Dec 7)
Have Bday/Anni dinner with family
Find time/energy/libido for sex!

When you put sex on a "to do" list, does that make it an officially serious relationship?

I have done:
I have to write a critique over the play
Pick up meds that I've been out of for over a week
Do an extra credit assignment or two
Finish up SS present
Take Della to the park
Study for a test
Partially done: Buy a present for my mom and brother (mom bday is Dec 3, bro is Dec 5)

So, I feel pretty accomplished. Of course my list has grown. I've added writing a script and then filming the play. On monday I have to edit it. Because no one else is my group apparently knows how to write a play or edit video.

Have to write an end of module relective quiz for the class, to be given on Friday. Idea being that whilst I am talking with each one individually about their upcoming essays, the others will work through the quiz in small groups.

I also have to do some feedback for the last group presentation. Should have done it over the weekend really.

Somewhere between now and tuesday afternoon I need to sit and do my timesheets for council. There's a council meeting on Wednesday and there's likely to be political capital made by various groups about the lack of complete timesheets by some councillors.

Wish i wasn't chairing a ward forum meeting this evening (Monday).

What cannot be allowed to give this week, and whatgave last week, was primary source searching. I am supposed to be turning up to my next supervision meeting with an initial bibliography of likely primary sources.

Did the quiz. Finished writing it this morning as I was printing stuff off for the 11am class. It seemed to produce a healthy amount of discussion within the groups at least some of which, judging by what I overheard, was pertinent :p

Didn't do the presentation feedback. Bit annoyed with myself for that. One of those daft tasks that would take maybe 25 mins but just keeps slipping past.

Was in process of working through council timesheets when council meeting was postponed to next week. Which allowed me to step away from that half-done task and work on one of the other time sensitive tasks (the above mentioned quiz).

Chaired the Ward Forum on Monday. Went fine. managed, with the agreement of all present to shave half an hour off the meeting so that people could get back before the next lot of snow made travel difficult. Awesomesauce: was back before 9 o'clock.

Guess what gave?

Yup. Still not done the primary source search yet *slaps own wrist*

What's frustrating is, I somehow was able to find it in me to go trawling about teh interwebz looking for social sciences papers on the history of transgender legislation and mental health, for a friend who is applying to do a PhD...but can't bring myself to just sit and do the most important thing I need to do right now :p
