Great pics! It is pretty cold here 58 - 62 in the day, low 40's at night.

Today, in my neck of the woods, it is currently 21 degrees and it will most likely stay below freezing - day and night - for the next four or five days (the chickens are not happy). Snow expected on Thursday or Friday. *sigh* |
Now, see what you've done? Its snowing here, too. And its supposed to last until tomorrow! My only consolation is that all you folks east of me (which is most of you) are going to get snowed on Wednesday and Thursday. Hopefully the storm will have strengthened considerably by then. (Goes off to the nearest alley to pout and drink peppermint scnapps). :eyebrow:

So far the Weather Channel is only forecasting a snow/rain/sleet mix for the next two days for us. I hope they're wrong. I want the blizzard!

Don't worry, you weren't to know given the conversation. We got snow too! It's not quite as rare as Texas, but it's still very exciting to us to have settled snow. Been out in the park this morning, tramping about and working up a sweat. Some pics for you. |

And some more realistic ones, least you think I live in the country:

And finally. Hope this isn't too wide...

So ... I sent you the snow :p ... how're the mitts holding up?

Oh babba, I forgot!
Yes, thanks so much. They were perfect. I was able to use my camera and fish about in my bag, but were cool enough that I could keep them on in thre Post Office - though it was a close-run things as the man ahead of me had countless packages (eBay I assume). I tried to get them in a photo, but I was also trying to get Jim's t-shirt in, and they all ended up horrible. Just trust me that I was wearing them, appreciating them, and you are a wonderful witch to give me snow too. |

I am awaiting the great storm. I have plenty of bread, milk, and eggs. If nothing happens, french toast party at my house!! |

Well, it happened. Actual snow. And, much to my surprise, no call from the nuthouse telling me that they were sending the ambulance to pick me up.
Probably because I told the boss that my plans for the snowstorm included making her maple walnut fudge. And butterscotch. And some chocolate chip cookies. My emergency trip to the supermarket after midnight the other night included 10 pounds of sugar, just in case. The pic is from sometime this afterlunch. There are several more inches on the ground. I love the quiet. Oh, I cooked bacon too, and had a breakfast burrito. |
