Mulatto, it sounds like you've got your head screwed on pretty tight, good for you. I have to agree with UT and Dana about taking it slow and waiting on adding the complication of a kid.

I got the impression you wouldn't put up with any bullshit and if he didn't treat you right you would end it. Adding a kid makes that so very much harder to do, legally, financially, physically and even emotionally, you might find yourself trapped. So please be patient and cautious, OK. ;)

And I would recommend wiaitng til even later than 22 if you can to become a parent - my 30 year old self looked back on my 22 year old self and said "Whew! Thanks for waiting!"

I have my yearly gyno appointment in June, so I'm gonna bring some ideas to her then. Thank you! And I'm not trying to have kids right now at all...give me like 10 years.
