When we say chook we mean chook and nothing else. Pronounced just like it sounds.

What's your point lookout?

man...you are salty today. maybe you should sit a few plays out?

Chuck isn't used to describe chickens (it's never used as in feed the chucks) but it is used as a term of endearment and means chicken.

I'm ok. Aren't I allowed to respond to someone implying there's a problem with the way we speak in Australia?

You all can talk. I thought the gobberment took that away when they made you turn in yer guns?

The government hasn't taken away guns Merc. It's just your perception of the situation.

Anyone can have a gun if they want it. They just have to register it and keep them locked up etc so kids can get them etc. There are restrictions on some types of guns and there are no machine guns etc allowed 'for personal use'.

If I didn't have my 'personal use' machine gun, I don't know what I'd do!

Getting back to horses, can you say HORSE FLY? Imagine all your neighbors with a 2 or 3 horse garage. Can't kill the flies, though, might upset the environment.

What would be cool, is if I had magic roller skates that could propel me along.
So when I am trying to do too much in my lunch hour I can switch them on and get where I'm going much faster.

I don't need them all the time - I am happy with the effort involved in normal walking. Just not when I have 10 mins of my lunchbreak left and am still in the centre of Greenwich because I spent too long window-drooling over impractical shoes I can't afford.

THAT would be freakin' COOL.

Would people be tipping their hats in greetings? Would road rage be diminished? On the freeways how many horses would make a pile up? ( just teasing ) :)

I love horses.

At my last job I thought this very same thing. I said as much to a coworker. There are times when rollerskates ARE needed. * nod*
