Being Human (*grins*). Which I have talked about elsewhere. Fourth episode of the new series is airing tonight *dances about in excitement*. I love it!
Here's a little clip from the last series that I think shows how they can swerve effortlessly between comedy and drama:
The set up: George the werewolf is desperately attempting to grab some kind of a normal life. At the last full moon he locked himself in a metal cage and swallowed a bottle of tranquilisers. He transformed, but remained asleep, as the wolf the whole night.
He's started teaching at a language school, and dating a girl who works there. Unfortunately, having denied the wolf its outing, it begins to come through in other ways...beginning with sudden onset tourettes.
