Imitation is the sincerest form of some shit.:D
I know sometimes I'll find a cool link and post it figuring to go back and check the ones I've missed when I get time. |
Admittedly, I got this from BoingBoing. But BoingBoing is still pretty cool. Also check out some of Cory Doctorow's other work.
And if those aren't enough to keep you busy for a bit, you have too much free time. |

Parking Spots. 214 user-submitted images of toy cars placed strategically next to real cars. This goes in the category of quirky things that the net coughs up for no apparent reason. And this is why we love it so.

Yo Dawg. Try This!
Some corportate filters may have a shit-hemmorhage. My own returned a "site not available" message. Had to wait until I got home to play with it. |

1. I ain't downloadin' no file from no stranger that I don't know what it is ...
2. UT, I thought you had things set up such that a person's first post couldn't include a link? |
No, it's only worded like that on the register page so spammers aren't as interested in us.

Baby tattoos !!!

I'm sorry my first post had you worried. I should have explained what the file is...
Its a Japanese TV show's rendition of what ping pong would be like if played in The Matrix. Its very funny, is not spam and is not a virus. I've been lurking on the boards for a couple weeks now and thought I had already introduced myself. Obviously not. FWIW, I live in the Blue Mountains, near Sydney, Australia, am over 35, and work in software development. :) m0na |

Some highlights: <i>"Pokemon Prove Evolutionism Is False" - Paul Sanborn (grade 4) "Women Were Designed For Homemaking"</i> and NUMBER ONE AND THE BEST: <i>1st Place: "Using Prayer To Microevolve Latent Antibiotic Resistance In Bacteria" Eileen Hyde and Lynda Morgan (grades 10 & 11) did a project showing how the power of prayer can unlock the latent genes in bacteria, allowing them to microevolve antibiotic resistance. Escherichia coli bacteria cultured in agar filled petri dishes were subjected to the antibiotics tetracycline and chlorotetracycline. The bacteria cultures were divided into two groups, one group (A) received prayer while the other (B) didn't. The prayer was as follows: "Dear Lord, please allow the bacteria in Group A to unlock the antibiotic-resistant genes that You saw fit to give them at the time of Creation. Amen." The process was repeated for five generations, with the prayer being given at the start of each generation. In the end, Group A was significantly more resistant than Group B to both antibiotics. </i> |
