It reminded me of a documentary I saw years ago about the train
that runs north out of Winnepeg to Churchill, MB, Canada.

Starting with the initial tentative conversations between strangers in one of the train cars.
It gradually superimposed the soundtracks of one more conversation, then another.
By the end, you were acquainted with the people and how they spoke.

I was amazed that by the time the train reached Churchill,
I was able to follow 3 separate conversations simultaneously,
and knew which passenger was saying what.

Maybe that's what Air Traffic Controllers do too.
