How many IMAX projectionists does it take to change a light bulb?
Some interesting facts in the vid. For instance - I didn't know it's the same bulb that lit up the Space Shuttle when it was sitting on the pad... |

Wow. I'd be nervous trusting that technology, but it was perfect.

So close! They are going to do it eventually. You know they will.
And look at the size of the rocket and how small the barge is. |

Well, I got all the political/historical questions correct, but none of the celeb and show business tripe.
Please may I have a vote in the US? |
I think you just excluded yourself, at least by these students' standards...

motherf*cker.
not you, Grav. What a depressing downer. Not just "man on the street", but presumably, college students. Those weren't... exceptionally tricky questions, were they? I know, I'm talking to my own demographic echo chamber here. I wonder who our youngest current posting member is these days. It's not me. We don't have anyone here who is from that cohort, do we? Not that you have to be an old fart to know who won the civil war (or the war or northern aggression, maybe that's why the texans didn't get the question...) or who the vice president is... Nor do you have to be a young whippersnapper to know who Brad Pitt is married to and was married to (I recognized the name "Snookie", though I haven't seen the show Jersey Shore and wouldn't have gotten that question right). I understand (and share Gravdigr's foreboding) about the area of focus for these voters. What do they even see? (Hollywood) What does it take to get their attention? (tv and movies and the interweb) What kind of presentation is persuasive for these citizens? (god knows). Yeah. Doomed. |
I'll admit, my daughter last night was talking about some report she's doing about the US Secretary of Defense, and she was comparing the current one and what he has accomplished to previous Secretaries through history.
And I had to ask her who the current Secretary is. Embarrassing for me. Do any of you know, off the top of your head? No cheating. |
