What you don't realize is that is a secret alien base! In fact, "Predator" was actually a documentary filmed there. I know things. At least that is what the voices say.
|
I heard they left. :eyebrow:

Our town can't afford a K9 unit, so I came up with the next best thing - a police snake. I've named him Fred. He isn't too happy right now & he bit the fire out of my thumb, but I'm going to keep him. The next time I go on a disturbance call, I'm going to throw Fred in the door & let him clear the room.
|
thank you glatt.
Big Sarge, that's funny! Sic'em Fred! |

I think this one was a spotted king snake. At least I hope he is because he bit me pretty good. Ya'll should have seen me dancing around trying to get him to let go. I bet I could have one the dance competition on "Americas Got talent".

Went on a vacation to western NY state visiting relatives who have a cottage on Lake Ontario at Sodus Point east of Rochester. Here are a few I like.
1. Sunset on Lake Ontario 2. The girls washing up in the lake 3. Sunset reflection 4. Waterfall near the Finger Lakes. |
you, sir, are a show-off.
And I love it. Please keep inspiring me, these are wonderful! |
Thanks BigV, after 30+ years of shooting I still get a good feeling inside when I visualize a shot, take the picture and see it come out just the way I wanted it to.
As a sidebar note, the waterfall shot and the sunset were both taken with no tripod. The former was a 2 second exposure, just found a rock ledge to set the camera on. The sunset was taken with a 400mm as I sat in a plastic lawn chair on the beach bracing the lens using the armrests for support; on and that lens also has a built in image stabilizer which helps. |
Chris, awesome. As usual.
Think ya could post a shitty pic so I can feel a little better about myself?:lol2: |
Great pictures, Chris!

He holds their secret—he brings a boon
Where winds moan wild in the dark o’ the moon; And gold shall glitter and love smile sweet To whoever shall sever his furry feet! |
Does everybody have bunnies? I didn't have them in my neighborhood as a kid, but they are everywhere now.
|
Two big beasts have settled in here. It's very annoying to Pearl when she polices the back yard.
|
We have bunnehs. Always had bunnehs.
|
We went a long time w/no bunnehs.
I think that feller is living under Popdigr's shed. Slick goes hours sometimes, lately, sniffin around the edges of that building. |
A few years ago there were a lot of cats roaming the area, but they are gone now, so this is a good year for bunnies for us, too. Pico tries and tries to catch them. They are always faster than him.

They just might be.
But, it's prolly the cows. (Not safe for lunch) |

No bunnies in my neighbourhood.
But the 'rents see lots when they housesit. Hedgehogs here. And we used to have foxes and badgers, til they built on the land in front of our house. Not even urban foxes now. |
The foxes and badgers didn't like what the hedgehogs built?
|
No, no, no. Read it carefully. The foxes and badgers built. Now they are stay-at-homes and never come out.
