Corn Nuts "Bust a Nut" radio ad:

"lightly toasted and hard as well."

Hahaha!

I met a few of the Holloway family (Corn Nuts magnates) on a bike trip in the mid 80's. Nice folks, they all had great senses of humor.

Corn Nuts GOOOOOD!!!

Shawnee123 09-29-2010 12:44 PM

I'm a corn nut magnet too.

They really are good. I don't know, after all my dental work, I'd be afraid to eat them.

Today, I am wholeheartedly supporting Mucinex. Like magic, it is. Not coughing (much), seem to be able to breathe, nose running like a faucet, but there's nothing in it to dry up the nose.

Try meth, it'll make the bestest boogers.

I like the weight loss option with that, too, but I don't know if my dental plan is good enough .

Was funny last night at the all-night stupidmarket when the checkout lady demanded to see some idea. I looked at her, cough, sniffled, and held out $25, asking, is that good enough for you? I don't make meth on Tuesdays, only weekends.

She was satisfied. I looked pretty miserable and desperate.

Plantronics has been developing telephone headsets for many years. For wired or bluetooth phone gear, they are still the king.

Verizon FIOS remains top notch. No complaints in years of service so far.

When you need technology/computer products, you must buy them from Newegg.

I am a huge fan of northeastern-US supermarket chain Wegman's. They delight in every way.

I did a trial-run with my new Hoover SteamVac ("with CleanSurge!") this afternoon. I have a relatively small but nonetheless quite clean patch on my carpet now! This is very exciting, as paying a company to come in and do it is not affordable, especially considering how often it realistically needs to be done around here.

It took a little jiggering with the pieces at one point to regain an airtight seal after I removed the dirty water tank to empty it, but I made it work. I'm extremely happy with it overall.

Oh we totally endorse the Hoover Steam Vacs. They rock.

monster 10-13-2010 10:45 PM

...and they wear out if you use them enough. Get an extended three year warranty and take it back at 2y11m. There will be enough wrong with it to get a new one and then you can buy a new 3y warranty for peanuts. Well, we're on our third vac this way.... I guess eventually they'll wise up.....

Clodfobble 10-13-2010 10:57 PM

Hmm. Got it off Amazon, no offer of a 3-year-warranty. I'll get the next one at a brick-and-mortar.
