You mean Roosta?

New name's as good as the old, though. Welcome back!

Cheech and Chong... might not be safe for work.

That's me! I had a quick rummage around last night and found that page. I think I tried to search a long time back but it wouldn't work as I wasn't logged in.
It's been a while...
:)

So. Gross.

A spirited display by the Boeing 787 at the Farnborough International Air Show 2012.

As something of a contrast, a British Airways Airbus A380 with the RAF Red Arrows at the Royal International Air Tattoo, RAF Fairford, summer 2013.

BA has recently introduced two of these mighty beasts into service with London Heathrow-Los Angeles being one of the first routes. They are doing two or three round trips per week at the moment but as more examples are delivered they'll be used on a daily basis. Not sure how many are on order but arranging finance for the things must be a hell of a job on its own.

I used to be an aviation 'nut' as a kid but only take a passing interest now. However, anything notable like the above still attracts my attention. I did, for a brief period, exercise the privileges of a Private Pilot's Licence but I was never a natural aviator. On the other hand, as I never attracted the attention of the Air Accidents Investigation Branch, I suppose that I can claim that as a measure of success!

Congratulations, any landing you can walk away from and all that. :thumb:

That is exhausting to even watch... quite remarkable.

BigV 10-28-2013 11:14 AM

That was fucking awesome!

No thanks. Don't need that.

Keep the electricity INSIDE the wires, thank you.

plthijinx 11-04-2013 01:15 PM

sparky juice isn't anything to shake a stick at, that's for sure!

one time there was an electrical contractor working at a residence and there was a cable, bare ended and weathered, sticking out of the ground. he grabbed it to pull it up out of the dirt and guess what? yep! it was still live. 240Vac...blew the tips of his toes off, shit you not!
