It's a refleciton of my musical preference, rather than my socio-political beliefs :)

wolf 04-22-2005 10:43 AM

You're welcome to be the Queen of the German Empire, no matter what catwoman says.

Well, you might have to depose me first.

Queen of the Ryche 04-22-2005 11:12 AM

oh no, I could never dethrone you Wolf - I have much to learn from you, Grasshopper. (In fact your mind/wit/beliefs/arsenal are part of what drew me so strongly to the Cellar - I think we may be twins seperated at birth.)
But if you insist, goose stepping will commence at noon.

lookout123 04-22-2005 11:33 AM

hey, i've got a shaved head and all... but goosestepping makes me a little nervous. could we just saunter, instead?

Queen of the Ryche 04-22-2005 11:35 AM

sashay if you must.............but can I get a Sig Heil? (I AM KIDDING, for those of you with no sense of humor. oh wait! I'm in the Cellar!)

I find that lately that's actually a bit too hard on the knees.

I'm looking at learning Tai Chi, though.

Check to see if your jackboots are too tall, this can interfere with your downstroke, causing knee pain...
I prefer Mai Tai to Tai Chi - especially on Fridays.

mrnoodle 04-22-2005 02:41 PM

Is Queensryche touring this year? That's another show that I always meant to catch but never have.

Queen of the Ryche 04-22-2005 03:38 PM

saw them in Feb - did the whole Op:Mindcrime album, plus some oldies - just as good as ever - next up they're touring with Judas Preist - already got my tix.

They're for buttons, and they're holes! Although, sometimes the hole isn't big enough for the required button...

barefoot serpent 09-14-2005 05:21 PM

It's either an archaic term for a surgical instument or he means verklempt.

Happy Monkey 09-14-2005 05:22 PM

I think (based solely on the SNL skit seakdivers is referencing) that it is a Jewish term for "overcome with emotion".

Hey, I'm right! Though one definition says it's "fake Yiddish", so Mike Meyers may have made it up.

seakdivers 09-14-2005 06:25 PM

Yeah - it's a SNL thing. I had no idea of how to spell it though.

You'd think that would be the sort of thing they'd consider before going into production, no?

Tonchi 09-14-2005 07:21 PM

Not if it's outsourced.....

Hobbs 09-14-2005 09:15 PM

Don't take it personally. You were prbly wearing baggy sweats and comfortable shoes.

Your a chick? Who know.

Well, here's the scenario I envision, which may have absolutely nothing to do with reality. The factory where the apparel in question is made has this huge bin full of buttons, see? Whilst cutting the buttonholes in said apparel, one might naturally want to glance over at the button bin and see if the buttons in the bin match the size of the buttonhole before cutting, say, 50,000 buttonholes.

From what you're telling me, it sounds like they cut all of the buttonholes here - with no way of knowing how big the buttons are, then they ship the whole load of apparel to BFE to have the buttons sewn on, then they ship it all the way back. Is that what I'm to understand from all of this?

capnhowdy 09-14-2005 10:20 PM

Now that's freakin deep. Even for buttonholes.

Tonchi 09-15-2005 12:24 AM

That's how the Pakistanis in those sweat shops get back at us for daring to request buttonholes in the first place.

NovemberRain 09-15-2005 12:39 AM

A organized buttonholer conspiracy, huh? Well, that's just plain sneaky.

Iggy 09-15-2005 01:32 PM

I'm a zipper person myself...

Mary Jane and Me 09-15-2005 05:57 PM

Hey all, I'm new to this website but think it KICKS ASS!!!! :D  :rasta:

xoxoxoBruce 09-15-2005 06:00 PM

If you make the buttonholes too small we'll kick your ass.

NovemberRain 09-15-2005 06:47 PM

Mary Jane and Me 09-15-2005 07:02 PM

Yeah, and so does meth. Plus, with meth you get to lose weight, not gain it. Then again, there is always reality. Which sucks but is both cheap and legal. Wolf will help you with your spelling errors. Won'tcha, Wolfie? ;)

Mary Jane and Me 09-15-2005 10:40 PM

Meth does make you lose weight, but also makes you paranoid as hell....... :worried: besides, pot isn't as addicting as meth.............makes ya happy and silly too............... :blkwht: as fer me, im a stoner fer life...... :rasta:

bluecuracao 09-15-2005 11:24 PM

Ya, and meth has nail polish remover in it. BLEH YUCKY.
