Jim, can you fix me up a whale penis one like you did the one year?

lumberjim 08-23-2014 07:29 AM

I'll see what I can do.

Everyone ready? Draft tomorrow at 6am!

lumberjim 08-24-2014 07:34 AM

Your team has been drafted.

How did you all do?

glatt 08-24-2014 07:39 AM

Hmm.

Clodfobble 08-24-2014 07:46 AM

I think I did great. Did I do great? I got Tom Brady anyway, that's got to be good, right?

classicman 08-24-2014 08:41 AM

I'm an ass... I have been ridiculously busy at work - yeh, I know, at least I have employment... for now.
Anyway I just got back here since I PM'd IM/Shaw.
I just found out I now have players. I need some help navigating the site.
How do I know who my players are? Where do I manage them? as usual ... I'm clueless

You did fucking awesome. Brady, Murray, andre Johnson, Dalton, Beast mode, A Jeffery. Fitzgerald.... All studs.

You're gonna win if you manage it right.

elSicomoro 08-24-2014 01:45 PM

Not too shabby...doing some maneuvering to make better.

Clodfobble 08-24-2014 06:20 PM

Where do you find that assessment thing on the NFL website, classic?

classicman 08-24-2014 06:33 PM

Sorry, it wasn't on the site. It was emailed to me.

and a smaller one to use on the nfl site.

Attachment 48937

go to edit team settings under My Team tab at the top of the NFL fantasy page. you'll see a grid of nfl helmets. there's one by itself below the last row. click on that helmet, and it will promt the upload. make sure to scroll down and submit once complete.

do you like the color combo? here's the penis on a transparent background.

lumberjim 08-24-2014 10:24 PM

oh, hey.

you CAN change your team name after the draft. I don't think we could do that last year.

glatt 08-25-2014 10:45 AM

check your email if you want to see yours

infinite monkey 08-25-2014 10:54 AM

when classic said 'it was emailed to me' i assumed it was emailed to him by a friend. i found it in my email 'promotions' folder. thank you for the clarification of the simple.

lumberjim 08-25-2014 10:57 AM

Sorry. It can also be found under draft recap on the my team tab.

They are sneaky with the tabs. Once you're in the right place, you still have to select the tab for how you want to see it.

glatt 08-25-2014 11:12 AM

Yeah. Navigating around the site makes sense to the site designers, I'm sure. But it's not intuitive at all. You just have to click randomly on stuff.

In the league I set up for my family, I had posted a poll. And everyone else wanted to also post their own polls, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how I did that.

lumberjim 08-25-2014 04:37 PM

I think only the league manager can do that. Under 'manage league' or something

You could make all of them managers though

Thanks, Jim...I dig it all!

Undertoad 08-30-2014 09:40 AM

OMG. My draft strategy this year was poor and so, yeah, I got Peyton again, but my other QB was for shit and just got IR'd for the season. Now I have 3 backup QBs and none of them are owned by more than 1.2% of the league.

Rest of the team better step it up

lumberjim 08-30-2014 02:36 PM

I'll give you Geno Smith for Mark Ingram

Undertoad 08-30-2014 03:30 PM

Having a Jets QB is never the right answer to anything!

Undertoad 08-30-2014 03:31 PM

Strike that, having a Jets Anything is never the right answer to anything!

Clodfobble 08-30-2014 04:07 PM

I took your trade, Jim. I only kind of understand what you get out of it, but maybe you have a secret plan, I dunno.

lumberjim 08-30-2014 04:13 PM

Clod, I needed a starting RB. I had 4 Qb's. I added the other RB I had to make it fair.

Tony, I'd have to rescind my offer of Geno, so I'm glad you're rejecting it.

I traded Cutler and MJD to clobble for Murray. I need that 3rd QB in case someone gets hurt.

Geno might surprise you this year. If he doesn't get benched... I think he'll score some points on the ground.

glatt 09-03-2014 11:41 AM

Everybody ready? First game is tomorrow.

infinite monkey 09-03-2014 12:18 PM

:jig:

Yay yay yay! Football season is here! Yay!

Did I say 'yay'?

Better go check my team. Of course, I don't really think there's all that much you can do until the season starts playing itself out. It's football: anything can happen.

(yay)

lumberjim 09-07-2014 11:56 AM

Are you ready for some football?

infinite monkey 09-07-2014 12:27 PM

I am!

I already see how much I effed up not playing KC defense over GB. Dumb dumb dumb.

Go Cleveland!!!!!!!!!

infinite monkey 09-07-2014 01:04 PM

Jesus God dirty fucking Steelers. Kicked the guy in the head? He could've broken his neck. Should be suspended for that shit.

Unreal. But typical.

grumble grumble man I hate those guys. Of course, since they're dirty and I hate them they're kicking ass.

/rant

infinite monkey 09-07-2014 01:16 PM

Jenny Dell, reporting: The Steelers are playing with confidence. There seems to be an air of cockiness...

 Has she ever watched football before? Has she met the Steelers? Great reporting, Obvious Chick Is Obvious.

I think I'll switch to the Cincy game, afore I throw something at my TV. ;)

Undertoad 09-07-2014 03:30 PM

Ruff Riders ride Ryan nines

infinite monkey 09-07-2014 03:34 PM

Browns vs Steelers ended up being quite a game. Browns brung it second half. The (damn) Steelers looked great the first half, not so great second, then pulled it out at the end. Nice game once the Browns showed up.

90 point?! Whoah.

classicman 09-10-2014 09:56 PM

Um I just realized my starting rb, mo only really good player, is out. Now what?

lumberjim 09-11-2014 09:04 AM

Lacy could make it back, but you might want to start Sproles in his place. The Colts are weak against the run.

classicman 09-11-2014 07:50 PM

Done. I have two players in yellow, I assume that's because they are playing tonight?

Clodfobble 09-12-2014 09:01 AM

Holy shit, half my freaking lineup got injured last week. It's just a river of DNPs and LPs all the way down.

infinite monkey 09-12-2014 10:22 AM

Don't worry. Imma be bottom o' the league this year. My team is rat-ass horrible! ;)

classic, I think you did have two players playing (and a partridge in a pear tree) last night but one of those was on the bench. But yes, yellow means they're currently playing.

Undertoad 09-12-2014 06:31 PM

ElSic you have Adrian Peterson... you will want to swap him out...

lumberjim 09-12-2014 06:40 PM

Montgomery County then investigated a complaint of "injury to a child" and referred the case to the district attorney. The DA then handed the case to the grand jury.

Eden Prairie Police Department spokesperson Joyce Lorenz confirms the EPPD assisted Montgomery County, Texas authorities in the investigation. Lorenz says Eden Prairie Police did not arrest Peterson.

"He used the same kind of discipline with his child that he experienced as a child growing up in East Texas," Hardin said in a statement. "Adrian has never hidden from what happened. He has cooperated fully with authorities and voluntarily testified before the grand jury for several hours. Adrian will address the charges with the same respect and responsiveness he has brought to this inquiry from its beginning."

Wonder what he did, and how it got made police business

Clodfobble 09-13-2014 07:32 AM

Beat the shit out of him, I'd guess.

Bugs me that they say "growing up in East Texas." Because you could say 'the same kind of discipline that he experienced as a child,' and people will be like, "I don't care if you were beaten, that doesn't make it okay," but somehow you point out that it was East Texas, and people are supposed to think, "Well, okay, that makes sense, everyone knows beating kids is okay down there. We'd beat our kids too, if we were raised in that hellhole. All is forgiven." They are absolutely mentioning the location as an excuse.

elSicomoro 09-13-2014 09:18 PM

Yeah...I saw that I have him...I knew I had him in one of my leagues. My team is pretty beat up too.

elSicomoro 09-14-2014 02:24 PM

Between injuries and AP, my team is just getting rocked.

lumberjim 09-15-2014 09:42 AM

I'll take a W any way I can this year. Looks like you made the right starts, just a bad day.

Good game!
Edit: nevermind... I thought I was talking to Shaw. You blew it, lol.

infinite monkey 09-15-2014 11:32 AM

Ugh...but I temporarily lost faith in Rivers. Bad move. I need to start going with my gut feeling again. The damn guru telling me to start inactive players (even I knew better than that) and the projections aren't projecting very well. ;)

Nice game, jim! Dammit all to hell, nice game! :)

classicman 09-17-2014 01:04 PM

I think I won because I subbed Sproles for Lacey...

Clodfobble 09-29-2014 02:45 PM

Unless Tom Brady scores 100+ fantasy points tonight, my losing streak will continue unabated. Go sports team!

glatt 09-29-2014 02:57 PM

Who the hell is Alex Smith, and why are all my hopes for pulling off another win riding on him?

classicman 09-29-2014 05:02 PM

lol - I just looked at the matchup. Didn't realize there was a bye and now its apparently too late to sub in a player ... I could have had Dwayne Bowe WR - KC. Who is he?

You would have needed to sub in a running back for that position. Don't know if it's too late to drop/add.

6 teams bye this week. I don't remember it ever being like this before...has it?

classicman 09-29-2014 07:41 PM

Oh well. Too late now.

lumberjim 09-30-2014 05:54 AM

I think they did 4 at a time last year

classicman 09-30-2014 07:49 AM

That was a fun one. Good game glatt. Even if I had subbed my RB you still would have won.
