How you like Mondays now?

footfootfoot 02-15-2011 06:41 AM

Nobody's gonna go to school today

Trilby 02-15-2011 06:45 AM

um...why were you in the hospital foot?

If you posted about it I'm sorry I missed it - hope you are ok now. I can miss entire swathes of history here - like I didn't know Cherry had gone on a sex vaca until she came back, etc. so excuse my obtuse-ness. :)

I slipped it into my travel thread after I came back in case I chickened out beforehand. It was quite well hidden...

The worst part of having monnie is the uncontrollable dripping. So embarrassing .

Seriously though, you know most people don't have a clue that you don't like that nickname, and they call you that out of affection. Right?

Nothing compares to that fentanyl/dilaudid combo. I'm looking forward to clearing out the painkillers so I can enjoy the springtime freshness of my celexa, which has been thoroughly eclipsed of late.

That was the most appropriately inappropriate request for posting I've ever had the honor to squeeze...um...read.

I haven't been gone at all...I check in almost every day. I try to keep track of all of you as best I can. However, if there's one thing I've learned in my years at Teh Cellah, it's that it doesn't pay to just interject things that you haven't spent time and effort formulating. It would be a disservice to the peeps I love and admire.

I post when I have something to share (like The Dominator - the wimpiest of the two "drive into a fucking tornado" vehicles from "Storm Chasers"). I haven't been writing much - probably because I have become consumed by the stream of consciousness world of FB - so, again, I don't post much.

Griff, it was at, of all places, the Flower and Garden show last weekend here in KC. Reed Timmer (the whiny guy from Storm Chasers) gave a presentation. Basically, it was a promofest for a program I've watched religiously since it came on Discovery. The nearness to him, nor what he said, did not change my opinion that the biggest problems with Storm Chasers, for me, are Reed Timmer and Sean Casey. :)

Ali - miss you too! I keep tabs on you via FB, even though I don't say much to you. Sounds like you're living the dream, and bonus points for not having drowned.

Thanks for all the check-ins, y'all. I'm here. Bruce is, too, but he's got a life. I stay reasonably close in touch with him. He's okay. If you miss him, let him know. ;)

I recently got one of those new-fangled phones with a camera in it, so I've been taking many more pics.

Me, RFN.

It's not 4:30, it's house wren past downy woodpecker. Didn't you ever learn to tell time, or were you raised with digital clocks?

Sundae 02-26-2011 01:48 PM

Wow! Monster!
Talk about dynamic. Must be the flexibilty that comes from figure skating.
And a fine figure of a woman - we should see more of you.

Foot - how come you look more dangerous incapacitated?
It must be the steely cold look in your eyes, "Pain? I'll tell you about pain."

I stand corrected. You can imagine my embarrassment, but forgive me. I was raised in a non-magical house where the clocks told only the time and not the bird.

Pico and ME 02-26-2011 04:48 PM

I had a clock like that once. Adored it. But I love birds.

We couldn't afford birds to tell us what time it was, we had to go out and look at the sun. Which wasn't too awful bad...til your eyeballs burst into flame.

Actually, it's the flexibility that helps with the figure-skating. I've always been super-bendy -I can still do the splits without warm up (Front to back) and get both legs behind my head :D Being of larger proportions, my flexibility surprises people -I've won many a pint that way ;)

Blimey, how close were you standing!

Grav that picture is too cute.
But you went to a most peculiar school.
The majority of children seem to have come to school in their pyjamas, one is simply wearing the bedroom curtains and another her quilt.

Unless it was a school for the blind, in whihch case I'm sorry. Do you have that funny bumpy writing on your keyboard?

Monster - yup I'd pay a pint so see you do the splits.
Do you take PayPal?

It was 1974. Our parents were probably still high.

monster, that looks like so much fun.

I looked and looked for a pic but couldn't find it: you reminded me of old Peanuts comic strips where all the kids would slide around a frozen lake on just their bellies. I tried, but I realized (or I thought) that it was an impossibility, physically. I just never saw bendy monster before. You're like the Gumby!

Spexxvet 02-28-2011 09:27 AM
