It's wayyy better than this though...

This reminds me of when I was young teens and BBC Radio 1 had a competition to win a trip to NYC -my life's dream at that point. You had to name 7 songs with New york on the title. I managed 6 ...and Arthur's theme. I didn't win.

monster 06-30-2010 09:13 PM

(probably less of a challenge for Americnas on the 10s than Brits in the 80s....)

jinx 06-30-2010 09:13 PM

Damn.
Can you remember the songs you came up with?

monster 06-30-2010 09:22 PM

gawd no. Apart from Arthur's theme. i dunno, give me a few. Meanwhikle from that era:

monster 06-30-2010 09:23 PM

New York new york -Sinatra, of course.

In a New York minute Henley/Eagles

monster 06-30-2010 09:32 PM

Sting Englishman in New York...

I'm thinking maybe I was 17 because now I have a half memory of this song being the catalyst for the competition... but I thought I was younger....

I'm 40 this yer, I'm allowed to start being forgetful, no? Get off my.... green flat thing...

jinx 06-30-2010 09:33 PM

monster 06-30-2010 09:36 PM
